The present invention relates to a multi-banknote cassette with a movable stopper, and more particularly, to a multi-banknote cassette with a movable stopper, which is capable of storing various kinds of banknotes at the same time. The multi-banknote cassette may include: a stopper driver which is formed at the top of a cassette body and has a pinion gear rotated by a driving motor; and a movable stopper which has a rack gear formed at one side surface thereof and engaged with the pinion gear and is lifted/lowered vertically through a stack guide to guide an introduced banknote in the cassette body, while the pinion gear of the stopper driver is rotated. Through such a structure, various kinds of banknotes can be easily handled in one banknote cassette.

A banknote separation apparatus, for a banknote bundle receiving machine, includes a guide unit, a pickup roller unit, a pickup roller raising/lowering unit, a feeding roller unit and a gate roller unit. The pickup roller unit is provided above the guide unit in a spaced-apart relationship with the guide unit and configured to separate a banknote from the banknote bundle and to feed the banknote. A paper medium recognition device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a main body that provides a transportation path in which an alignment reference line for aligning a paper medium is arranged on one side; and an alignment unit which has a transportation roller which transports the paper medium in the longitudinal direction along the transportation path, and which has an alignment roller that is arranged in the direction orthogonal to the transportation roller so as to transport the paper medium in the width direction toward the alignment reference line. A phase difference is provided during the rotation of the transportation roller and the alignment roller, and thus the paper medium can be alternately transported in the longitudinal direction and width direction.

The invention provides an ATM that can stably stack paper money by preventing the rotation of stack rollers when paper money is deposited. The ATM includes feed rollers, stack rollers, and elastic members. The feed rollers convey paper money separated one-by-one by pickup rollers onto a money withdrawal path, or convey paper money conveyed along a money deposit path into a recyclebox. Peripheries of the feed rollers are formed of rubber. Each of the stack rollers includes wings. When paper money is deposited, the stack rollers come in contact with the feed rollers. Peripheries of the stack rollers are formed of synthetic resin. The elastic members push the stack rollers against the feed rollers, and apply elastic forces to the stack rollers such that a frictional force between paper money and the stack rollers is smaller than that between paper money and the feed rollers.

An object of the present invention is to stably perform money deposit and withdrawal operations in a recyclebox by detecting positions of a stack guide and a stack roller. An apparatus for detecting the positions of a stack guide and a stack roller includes a stack roller positioned below a feed roller to come in contact with the outer periphery of the feed roller so that a plurality of wings thereof pushes the end of paper money to be deposited when money is deposited in order to align and stack the paper money, and the wings recede from a conveyance path of paper money when money is withdrawn; a stack guide fixed to a rotating shaft of the feed roller; and a position detecting unit detecting positions of the stack roller and the stack guide when money is deposited/withdrawn.
