A flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition includes (a) a polycarbonate resin, (b) an impact modifier, and (c) resorcinol bis(diphenyl phosphate). The impact modifier includes (b1) a large rubber particle-modified vinyl graft copolymer wherein the rubber particle has an average particle diameter of about 0.3 to about 0.7 &#x3bc;m, and (b2) a small rubber particle-modified graft copolymer wherein the rubber particle has an average particle diameter of about 0.05 to about 0.27 &#x3bc;m. The flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition can have excellent flowability, mold formability, flame retardancy, impact strength, and gloss characteristics.

The thermoplastic resin composition of the present invention comprises: about 100 parts by weight of a base resin comprising (A) about 5 to about 40% by weight of a rubber modified aromatic vinyl based copolymer resin, (B) about 30 to about 90% by weight of a polycarbonate resin, and (C) about 1 to about 50% by weight of a noncrystalline polyester resin; and (D) about 5 to about 30 parts by weight of an aromatic phosphate ester based compound.
