An electronic device is provided that includes a display in which a fingerprint recognition area is formed and which includes a display pixel layer, and a rear panel, formed under the display, having a first hole. The electronic device also includes a bracket, disposed under the rear panel, having a sensor accommodating area corresponding to a fingerprint sensor. The electronic device additionally includes the fingerprint sensor disposed under the display pixel layer and adapted to acquire image information to be used for authentication of a fingerprint using at least partially light radiated from the display pixel layer and reflected by the object. The sensor accommodating area has a second hole passing through the bracket, and the fingerprint sensor is disposed in the sensor accommodating area such that an air gap between the display and the fingerprint sensor is formed at least by a portion of the second hole.

Electronic device supporting fingerprint verification and method for operating the same

Disclosed is an electronic device. The electronic device according to an embodiment may include an ultrasonic sensor and a processor electrically connected to the ultrasonic sensor. The processor may be configured to obtain a noise signal at a periphery of the electronic device, via the ultrasonic sensor, to determine an attribute of a first ultrasonic signal oscillated by the ultrasonic sensor, based on the obtained noise signal, and to obtain fingerprint information based on the second ultrasonic signal obtained via the ultrasonic sensor and the determined attribute. Disclosed is an electronic device including a transparent member, a display, wherein at least part of the display is disposed under the transparent member, wherein the display includes an active area, in which a plurality of pixels capable of outputting light to display contents, a biometric sensor, wherein at least part of the biometric sensor is disposed in a first area outside the active area, and a reflector positioned to direct light reflected by an external object in contact with at least a partial area of the transparent member to the biometric sensor through at least a portion of the transparent member, wherein at least some of the plurality of pixels are positioned to irradiate the external object, thereby resulting in the light reflected by the external object.

Wearable electronic device including fingerprint sensor

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a transparent member, a display positioned under a transparent member that includes a plurality of pixels, an image sensor positioned under some areas of the display, a memory, and a processor. The processor obtains a first image at least based on light output through at least some of the plurality of pixels and reflected by an external object coming into contact with the transparent member using the image sensor, performs authentication on the external object at least based on the at least one template using the first image, generates a second image of the external object at least based on the first image when quality of the first image corresponds to a given condition based on a result of the authentication, and performs authentication on the external object at least based on the at least one template using the second image.

An electronic device is provided that includes a display. The electronic device also includes a fingerprint sensor disposed under one or more pixels. The fingerprint sensor is adapted to acquire image information corresponding to a fingerprint of an external object that is in proximity to or in contact with the display based on at least a light radiated from at least one pixel and reflected by the external object. The electronic device also includes a rear panel disposed under the display. The rear panel includes an aperture corresponding to a disposition of the fingerprint sensor. The electronic device further includes a bracket disposed under the rear panel to support the display, and including a sensor seating area in which the fingerprint sensor is disposed. The fingerprint sensor is affixed to the sensor seating area. An air gap is formed between the display and the fingerprint sensor.

The electronic device includes a display including a touch sensor and a display panel, a fingerprint sensor included in the display or disposed on a rear surface of the display, and at least one processor electrically connected with the display and the fingerprint sensor.
