A touch panel and a control method thereof. The control method is applied to a touch panel to receive controls from an active stylus. The control method comprises using a demodulation frequency to demodulate a writing signal received from the active stylus; determining whether a demodulated writing signal is abnormal or not; and in response to determining the demodulated writing signal to be abnormal, adjusting the demodulation frequency to increase an energy of the demodulated writing signal.

Touch panel and control method thereof

A touch detection method, suitable for a touch display panel including touch sensing columns, includes following steps. The touch sensing columns are grouped in a first order during a first frame. The touch sensing columns grouped in the first order are scanned for detecting a first touched column during the first frame. The touch sensing columns are grouped in a second order during a second frame. The second order is assigned according to the first touched column. The first touched column and adjacent columns next to the first touched column are grouped together in one group in the second order. The touch sensing columns grouped in the second order are scanned for detecting a second touched column during the second frame.

Touch detection method

A knob on a touch panel includes a rotary wheel, a common pad, at least one sensing pad, a plurality of connectors and a conductive ring. The rotary wheel is mounted on the touch panel. The common pad is deployed on the touch panel. The at least one sensing pad is deployed on the touch panel. Each of the plurality of connectors is coupled between the rotary wheel and one pad among the at least one sensing pad and the common pad, to control each of the at least one sensing pad to be coupled to the common pad or not through the rotary wheel according to an operation of the knob. The conductive ring is deployed on a surface of the rotary wheel, to detect a touch object.

Knob on touch panel and related control method

A knob on a touch panel includes a plurality of sensing electrodes and at least one conducting wire. The at least one conducting wire is coupled between the plurality of sensing electrodes. Wherein, the plurality of sensing electrodes are separated by a plurality of gaps, and the size of a first gap among the plurality of gaps is different from the size of a second gap among the plurality of gaps.

Knob on touch panel and related control circuit

A knob apparatus includes a touch panel, a touch-sensing controller, and a knob. The touch panel has multiple touch-sensing electrodes. The touch-sensing controller is coupled to the touch-sensing electrodes of the touch panel. The touch-sensing controller detects a touch event of the touch panel through the touch-sensing electrodes. The knob has a base and a knob cap. The knob cap is pivoted on the base. The base is attached to the touch panel. Multiple conductive electrodes are disposed at different positions of the base. The touch-sensing controller detects the conductive electrodes of the base of the knob through the touch-sensing electrodes of the touch panel to learn a rotation direction of the knob cap on the base.

A stylus and a touch device are provided. The stylus includes a tip portion and a transmission electrode. The transmission electrode is disposed on the tip portion. The transmission electrode transmits a downlink signal to the touch device. The touch device includes a touch panel and a touch processing circuit. The touch processing circuit is coupled to the touch panel. The touch processing circuit receives the downlink signal from the stylus through the touch panel. The downlink signal includes a plurality of different frequencies.

Stylus and touch device for encoding and transmitting signal having multiple frequencies

A transmission system includes a first touch device and a second touch device. The second touch device includes a transmission region and the transmission region forms an invisible barcode. The first touch device and the second touch device work together to operate in a touch mode or in an application mode. When the first touch device and the second touch device work together to operate in the application mode, the transmission region uses the invisible barcode to transmit a transmission signal to the first touch device to unlock the first touch device.

A data transmission method includes: transmitting a plurality of first transmitting signals from a plurality of transmitting areas of the first touch device; determining, by the second touch device, whether a first sensing signal corresponding to the plurality of first transmitting signals is received; if yes selecting, by the second touch device, a receiving area in a first overlap range according to signal intensity of the first sensing signal; transmitting a second transmitting signal from the receiving area; determining, by the first touch device, whether a second sensing signal corresponding to the second transmitting signal is received; if yes, selecting, by the first touch device, a first transmitting area in a second overlap range from the plurality of transmitting areas according to signal intensity of the second sensing signal; determining a final transmitting area and a final receiving area; and performing a data transmission process.

A transmission system includes a first touch device and a second touch device. The first touch device and the second touch device work together to operate in a touch mode or in an application mode. When the first touch device and the second touch device work together to operate in the application mode, the first touch device acquires an absolute motion trajectory or an absolute rotation angle of the second touch device, and performs an application according to the absolute motion trajectory or the absolute rotation angle.

Transmission system, processor, and transmission method

A touch detection method, suitable for a touch display panel including multiple sensing pads, is disclosed. The sensing pads are divided into groups and each of the groups includes at least two columns of the sensing pads. The touch detection method includes following steps. In a first mode, the sensing pads are scanned group-by-group for detecting whether a touch event occurs on a touch identified group. In a second mode, the sensing pads are scanned column-by-column to identify a touch position of the touch event.

The invention provides a touch device and a communication method thereof. The touch device includes a display panel and a controller. The controller controls the display panel to perform a display driving operation and a touch sensing operation. The controller may transmit a first wireless signal to another slave communication device via the display panel in a touch sensing period. The controller may receive a second wireless signal sent by another master communication device via the display panel in the touch sensing period. When the touch device serves as one of a master communication device and a slave communication device, a time length of the touch sensing period is a first time length. When the touch device serves as the other of the master communication device and the slave communication device, the time length of the touch sensing period is a second time length greater than the first time length.

A method for touch sensing enhancement implemented in a single chip, a single chip capable of achieving touch sensing enhancement, and a computing apparatus are introduced. The single chip is used to be coupled to a display panel with a touch sensor and a fingerprint sensor. The computing apparatus may include the display panel, the single chip, and a processing unit, wherein the single chip is coupled between the display panel and processing unit. The method includes obtaining touch sensing data by a touch sensing module disposed within the single chip and coupled to the touch sensor; obtaining fingerprint sensing data by a fingerprint sensing module disposed within the single chip and coupled to the fingerprint sensor; and generating output touch data based on the touch sensing data and the fingerprint sensing data. With the contribution of the fingerprint sensing data, touch sensing enhancement can be achieved.

An electronic circuit, adapted to drive a display panel comprising touch sensors, is provided. The electronic circuit can include a display driving circuit, a timing circuit and a touch scan circuit. The display driving circuit drives a touch display panel. The timing circuit receives a flag signal from a processing circuit and generates a scan start signal according to the flag signal. The touch scan circuit generates a plurality of touch scan signals according to the scan start signal and a touch column synchronization signal. The touch scan circuit determines a start time of a touch frame period according to a pulse of the scan start signal. The scan start signal can be asynchronous or delayed with respect to a touch frame synchronization signal generated by the display driving circuit.

Electronic circuit adapted to drive a display panel with touch sensors and operation method thereof

A touch scanning method shortening a first touch latency includes: scanning a Mth column of the N-column touch panel according to a touch scan (TSHD) signal; determining whether the finger is on the Mth column of the N-column touch panel according to a scan data signal; performing a fast done process according to a fast done signal when the finger is on the Mth column of the N-column touch panel; determining whether M equals to N when the finger is not on the Mth column of the N-column touch panel; and resetting M to 1 according to a scan start signal and performing an algorithm according to a finish flag signal.

Touch scanning method

A touch panel module including a touch panel area and a non-touch panel area is provided. The touch panel module includes a touch panel. The touch panel is located in the touch panel area. The touch panel senses a touch gesture by using a plurality of first and second sensing electrodes. At least one part of the first sensing electrodes is located in the non-touch panel area. Another one part of the first sensing electrodes and a whole of the second sensing electrodes are located in the touch panel area. The touch gesture touches the touch panel module to generate a touch area. A touch position corresponding to the touch gesture on the touch panel is determined based on a ratio of an area of the first sensing electrodes touched by the touch gesture and the touch area.
