An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of conductive terminals and a metal shell. The housing includes a base portion, a tongue protruding forwardly from the base portion and a terminal fixing portion positioned behind the base portion; a groove is provided between the base portion and the fixing portion to allow glue to fill therein; the fixing portion is provided with at least one fencing portion at a side of the fixing portion adjacent to the groove, the fencing portion is formed with a hollow recessed groove therein. The terminals are provided to the housing; each terminal includes a mating portion exposed on the tongue, a soldering portion extending out of the fixing portion and a connecting portion connected between the mating portion and the soldering portion; a part of the connecting portion is exposed to the groove. The shell sheathes an outer circumference of the housing.

Electrical connector with features to prevent warping of the soldering portion of the terminals

The present disclosure provides a first connector, a second connector and an electrical connector assembly. The first connector includes a connector main body, an elastic latching member and a position assurance slider. A positioning post and two locking protrusions protrude from an upper surface of the housing of the connector main body; two locking protruding portions protrude from inner sides of the two locking protrusions respectively toward each other. The elastic portion of the elastic latching member is suspended above the upper surface of the housing. The position assurance slider is positioned between the housing and the elastic latching member and can slide in a front-rear direction; during sliding of the locking portion of the position assurance slider in the front-rear direction, the locking portion cooperates with the locking protruding portion so that the elastic latching member is in a locking state or a non-locking state; when the elastic latching member is in the locking state, the tongue of the position assurance slider is positioned below the elastic portion to block the elastic portion from moving downwardly, so that prevent unlatching of the latching hook. The present disclosure is simple in structure and can realize firm locking.

An electrical connector includes: a plastic housing provided with a receiving cavity extending in a front-rear direction therein; a metal stopping member provided in the housing, including at least one fixing portion embedded in the housing and a body exposed to the cavity, the body is provided with a through hole; a terminal base including a base portion and a tongue extending forwardly from the base portion, the terminal base is mounted in the cavity, the body of the metal stopping member blocks in front of the base portion, the tongue passes through the through hole of the metal stopping member and extends forwardly; and a plurality of conductive terminals fixed to the terminal base, each terminal includes a contact portion which is exposed to the tongue and a soldering portion which rearwardly extends out of the terminal base. The connector has a robust structure and facilitates to reduce weight.

Electrical connector with metal stopping member embedded in a plastic housing

A conductive terminal and an electrical connector are disclosed. The conductive terminal comprises a mating portion positioned at a front end, a tail portion for connecting a conductive wire and a fixed portion connected between the mating portion and the tail portion. Wherein the fixed portion comprises a bottom wall, two side walls bent upwardly respectively from two sides of the bottom wall, a lock tang obliquely extending rearwardly and upwardly from the middle of the bottom wall and two stopping protrusions protruding inwardly from the two side walls, the two stopping protrusions abut against the lock tang so as to prevent the lock tang from being improperly deformed due to a force applied. The present invention can assure that the conductive terminal is firmly fixed in insulative body of the electrical connector.
