A novel titanyl phthalocyanine crystal, a photoconductive material comprising the same, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same are disclosed. The titanyl phthalocyanine crystal has a primary particle diameter ranging from 0.03 to 0.15 &mgr;m, shows a maximum X-ray diffraction peak at a Bragg angle (2&thgr;&plusmn;0.2&deg;) of 27.3&deg;, has a ellipsoidal tabular form, and has a BET specific surface area of not less than 35 m,/g. The crystal has improved crystal form stability against solvents and holds its crystal form for an extended period of time in a dispersed and coated state. An electrophotographic photoreceptor using the crystal as a photoconductive material is excellent in sensitivity, stability, and durability.

Titanyl phthalocyanine crystal and electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same

An electrostatic recording head comprises an insulating substrate having a builtup structure thereon. The builtup structure includes, in the following order, a plurality of dielectric electrode strips having portions which are arranged in parallel to and kept away from one another, a first insulating layer, a plurality of discharge electrode strips each extending to intersect with the respective portions of the dielectric electrode strips, a second insulating layer having a plurality of openings to form part of an ion generating space region at individual intersected portions of said discharge electrode strips and said dielectric electrode strips, and a screen electrode which is provided to complete each ion generating space region in association with the second insulating layer and has a plurality of openings, through which ions are passed, corresponding to the respective ion generating space regions. The screen electrode is made of a member which is selected from the group consisting of metals, noble metals and alloys mainly composed of these metals and which has a melting point not lower than 1500.degree. C. Alternatively, the screen electrode may be made of a core member and a surface layer which is made of the above metal member, or an oxidation-resistant material such as an inorganic compound, a polymer or a metal alkoxide polymer.

Corrosion resistant electrostatic recording head with multiple layers

A novel titanyl phthalocyanine crystal, a photoconductive material comprising the same, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same are disclosed. Titanyl phthalocyanine crystal

A photoreceptor for electrophotography, comprising: a photoconductive layer substantially composed of amorphous silicon, and first, second and third surface layers substantially composed of amorphous silicon added with nitrogen atom, those layers being formed on a support. The thickness d.sub.1, d.sub.2 and d.sub.3 of the first, second and third surface layers satisfies the following relation: d.sub.2 &gt;d.sub.1 and d.sub.2 &gt;d.sub.3, and the nitrogen concentrations c.sub.1, c.sub.2 and c.sub.3 of said first, second and third surface layers satisfy the following relation: c.sub.3 &gt;c.sub.2 &gt;c.sub.1.

Photoreceptor for electrophotography

A positively and negatively chargeable electrophotographic photoreceptor is disclosed, comprising a substrate having thereon a charge blocking layer, an amorphous silicon photoconductive layer, and an amorphous silicon nitride surface layer provided in that order, wherein the charge blocking layer comprises of amorphous silicon nitride and the amorphous silicon photoconductive layer comprises of an i-type amorphous silicon containing 0.05 to 5.0 ppm of boron.
