A charge eliminating apparatus includes a conveying unit configured to convey a sheet, a charge eliminating member configured to eliminate charge of the sheet conveyed by the conveying unit, a setting unit configured to set a charge elimination amount by the charge eliminating member, and a controller configured to control both a voltage applied to the charge eliminating member and a sheet conveyance speed of the conveying unit based on the charge elimination amount set by the setting unit.

Charge eliminating apparatus, image forming system, and charge adjusting apparatus

A charge eliminating apparatus includes a charge eliminating member, a moving unit, and a controller. The controller configured to execute a first processing in which charge of a sheet is eliminated by applying voltage to the charge eliminating member in a state where the charge eliminating member is positioned at a contact position, and a second processing in which charge of a sheet is not eliminated while voltage is not applied to the charge eliminating member in a state where the charge eliminating member is positioned at the contact position. In a mixed job in which a first type of sheet and a second type of sheet that differs from the first type of sheet are conveyed, the controller is configured to execute the first processing to the first type of sheet and execute the second processing to the second type of sheet.

Charge eliminating apparatus and image forming system

An image forming system including a printer that forms an image on a sheet and an inspection apparatus that inspects an image on a sheet delivered from the printer. A discharge mode for discharging a sheet inspected by the inspection apparatus and binding processing for binding a plurality of sheets as one bundle are set on a console panel. In a case where a first mode for discharging a first sheet determined as normal by the inspection apparatus to a first discharge destination, discharging a second sheet determined as defective by the inspection apparatus to a second discharge destination different from the first discharge destination, and discharging a third sheet conveyed subsequently to the second sheet, determined as normal by the inspection apparatus, to the first discharge destination is set as the discharge mode, and the binding processing is set, execution of the corresponding job is stopped.
