Provided is an ink jet recording method capable of suppressing deterioration in an ejection property when voltage control of a recording head is performed. The ink jet recording method includes using an ink jet recording apparatus having a recording head equipped with a heater, a first protection layer and a second protection layer made of a metal material, and a unit of applying a voltage with the second protection layer as a cathode and an ink-mediated conduction site as an anode and ejecting the ink from the recording head to record an image on a recording medium, wherein the ink is an aqueous ink containing a component having an anionic group and a soluble metal ion having a standard electrode potential of more than 0 V.

Ink jet recording method and ink jet recording apparatus

An aqueous ink for use in an ink jet recording method in which ink is thermally ejected from a recording head to record an image on a recording medium. The aqueous ink includes zirconium oxide; a pigment; a resin dispersant for the pigment; and a first and a second urethane resin. The content (ppm) of the zirconium oxide in terms of zirconium is 0.5-20.0 ppm based on the total mass of the ink. The pigment is at least one of phthalocyanine, quinacridone, diketopyrrolopyrrole, dioxazine, perinone, perylene and anthraquinone pigments. Each of the first and second urethane resins has a unit derived from a polyether polyol. The ratio of the weight-average molecular weight Mwof the first urethane resin to the weight-average molecular weight Mwof the second urethane resin is 0.20-0.80 times. The second urethane resin has a weight-average molecular weight Mwof 20,000-70,000.

Aqueous ink, ink cartridge, and ink jet recording method

Provided is an ink jet clear ink containing a polymer fine particle. The polymer fine particle has a core-shell structure obtained by polymerizing an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-ethylenically unsaturated hydrophobic monomer (b) as a core polymer in the presence of a shell polymer that is a copolymer having at least a unit derived from an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-ethylenically unsaturated hydrophobic monomer (a) and a unit derived from a monomer selected from an &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-ethylenically unsaturated acid monomer and a salt thereof. The &#x3b1;,&#x3b2;-ethylenically unsaturated hydrophobic monomer (b) includes at least a monomer containing a chain structure saturated alkyl group.

An ink-jet recording pigment ink comprises water, a pigment, a water-soluble organic solvent and a copolymer; the copolymer being obtained by copolymerizing a silicone type macromer having a vinyl group, represented by the following Formula (1), a vinyl monomer having a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, represented by the following Formula (2), and a monomer having an anionic functional group.

Ink jet pigment ink and ink set

A pigment ink for ink jet recording containing a pigment, water, a graft copolymer and a water-soluble organic solvent, in which a hydrophobic segment constituting the graft copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing a monomer represented by the following formula (1), having an aromatic ring or the like and a monomer having an anionic functional group, and a hydrophilic segment constituting the graft copolymer is obtained by polymerizing a monomer having an anionic functional group: wherein Ar represents an aromatic ring selected from a benzene ring, a condensed benzene ring and a heteroaromatic ring, or a derivative thereof.

Pigment ink for ink jet recording

In an ink-jet recording pigment ink containing a pigment, water, a water-soluble solvent and a polymer, the polymer is obtained by polymerizing an alkyl-&#x3b1;-(hydroxyalkyl) acrylate monomer represented by the following general formula (1): wherein Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and Rrepresents any one selected from a straight-chain or branched alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 4 to 6 carbon atoms and a phenyl group.

An inkjet pigment ink containing a pigment, a water-soluble solvent, water, and a copolymer.
