A coil device includes two core members, one of which is E-shaped. The E-shaped core member has left and right side faces, and a center leg that extends in a vertical direction. A conducting wire is wound around a core, the core being composed of the two core members arranged to face each other in the vertical direction with a gap between the two core members. The conducting wire is wound around the center leg. First and second heat-sinking plates made of metal are bent so as to be in contact with upper and side faces of the core. The first and second plates are arranged so that first edges of the plates are placed left-right symmetrically with respect to the core with a gap between the edges. Second edges of the plates are in contact with a metal heat-sinking board where the core is placed.

Coil device

A choke coil including a coil () and a core () including a first core part () inserted into a central hole of the coil () and a plurality of second core parts () disposed along the outer periphery of the coil. The first core part () and the second core part () form a closed magnetic path. The second core parts () are shaped so that the total sum of the areas of cross sections thereof perpendicular to the axis of the coil is greater than the area of a cross section of the first core part (). A gap part (G) is formed in the second core parts (), and a ferrite magnet () that applies a magnetic bias is disposed in the gap part (G).

Choke coil

A high power inductance device enables a large ferrite magnetic core to be manufactured at low cost and with ease and improves heat radiation efficiency to reduce an increase in the temperature of the core. The inductance device has a ferrite magnetic core and a winding wire wound around the ferrite magnetic core and is mounted on a heat radiation structure through at least one of the front surfaces of the ferrite magnetic core. The ferrite magnetic core is made of a core aggregate obtained by arranging side by side a plurality of ferrite coreshaving a completely-closed magnetic path structure or a quasi-closed magnetic path structure with a magnetic gap such that an interval is placed between the ferrite cores and magnetic paths are parallel to each other. The inductance device is mounted such that at least one plane surface of the peripheral surfaces of each of the ferrite cores is brought into direct or indirect contact with the heat radiation structurewith a metal plateinserted into the interval between the ferrite cores and the common winding wirewound around all the ferrite cores.
