A ferrite sintered body contains Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and Ni. Supposing that Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and Ni are converted into FeO, MnO, ZnO, CuO, and NiO, respectively, and the sum of the contents of FeO, MnO, ZnO, CuO, and NiO is 100 mol %, the sum of the contents of FeOand MnOis 48.47 mol % to 49.93 mol %, the content of MnOis 0.07 mol % to 0.37 mol %, the content of ZnO is 28.95 mol % to 33.50 mol %, and the content of CuO is 2.98 mol % to 6.05 mol %. Furthermore, 102 ppm to 4,010 ppm Zr in terms of ZrOand 10 ppm to 220 ppm Al in terms of AlOare contained per 100 parts by weight of the sum of the amounts of contained FeO, MnO, ZnO, CuO, and NiO.

Ferrite sintered body and coil component

In a non-reciprocal circuit element, electric power handling capability is improved, and leakage power between adjacent channels is reduced. In addition, balance is taken between reduction of noise between adjacent ports and an increase in insertion loss. A non-reciprocal circuit element includes a YIG ferrite () and a plurality of conductors () disposed on the YIG ferrite () and intersecting each other in an insulated state. A part of Y of the YIG ferrite () is substituted with at least any one element of Ho, Dy, and Gd, or a part of Fe of the YIG ferrite () is substituted with Co.

Non-reciprocal circuit element

A laminated coil component includes a magnetic body part made of a Ni&#x2014;Zn-based ferrite material and a coil conductor containing Cu as a main component, which is wound into a coil shape, and the coil conductor is embedded in the magnetic body part to form a component base. The component base is divided into a first region near the coil conductor and a second region other than the first region. The grain size ratio of the average crystal grain size of the magnetic body part in the first region to the average crystal grain size of the magnetic body part in the second region is 0.85 or less. The molar content of CuO in the ferrite raw material is set to 6 mol % or less, and firing is performed in a reducing atmosphere in which the oxygen partial pressure is an equilibrium oxygen partial pressure of Cu&#x2014;CuO or less.

A ceramic electronic component which can achieve favorable electrical properties in such a way that the insulation property of a magnetic section can be ensured, and that the oxidation of Cu as an internal conductor is suppressed. Such an active material is manufactured by employing sol-gel process wherein one of inorganic salt, hydroxide and organic acid salt of lithium or a mixture of these for Li, one of inorganic salt and organic acid salt of manganese or a mixture of these for Mn, and one of inorganic salt and organic acid salt of the selected metal or a mixture of these for M are used as the starting materials for synthesis, ammonia water is added to the solutions of these starting materials in alcohol or water to obtain gelatinous material and the gelatinous material thus obtained is fired.

Lithium compound and nickel oxyhydroxide containing a transition metal (Me) such as V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Zn and Co are suspended in water or in an organic solvent, and the solution is reacted with each other in an autoclave by a hydrothermal method to thereby synthesize transition metal-containing lithium nickelate.
