A state determination device to determine that a driver driving a vehicle is in a driving difficult state detects an abnormality in a state of the driver, and detects at least one of an abnormality in a driving operation input by the driver or an abnormality in a traveling state of the vehicle. In response to detecting the abnormality in the state of the driver alone, the state determination device does not determine that the driver is in the driving difficult state but determines that the driver is in the driving difficult state in response to detecting the abnormality in the state of the driver and additionally detecting the at least one of the abnormality in the driving operation input by the driver or the abnormality in the traveling state of the vehicle.

An abnormality determination apparatus is mounted on a vehicle. A person is identified in a captured image acquired from a camera that captures a range including a driver seat of the vehicle. It is determined whether a person other than the driver of the vehicle is present in an operable range set as a range in which a steering wheel of the vehicle is enabled to be operated, based on a result from identifying a person. An abnormality process assuming that the driver of the vehicle is in an abnormal state is executed in response to determining that the person other than the driver is present in the operable range.

Abnormality determination apparatus

An abnormality detection device is provided to detect an abnormal posture of a driver of a vehicle based on information of an image captured by an imaging unit for which an imaging region is defined to image a head of the driver. The abnormality detection device is configured to define at least one premonition region in a range in which the head is supposed to be positioned in process of transitioning from a normal posture to the abnormal posture in the imaging region. When the head stays in a premonition region, the abnormality detection device determines that the driver is in a state of the abnormal posture.

A driver abnormality detection device detects an abnormality in a driver of a vehicle. A first notification is performed in response to detecting the abnormality. It is determined whether a first input by the driver has been detected in a first input period set after a start of the first notification. A second notification is performed in response to determining that the first input has been detected in the first input period. It is determined whether a second input by the driver has been detected in a second input period set after a start of the second notification. A first abnormality condition process is executed in response to determining that the first input has not been detected in the first input period. A second abnormality condition process is executed in response to determining that the second input has not been detected in the second input period.
