An electrooptical device includes a first substrate, a first electrode disposed on the first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a second electrode disposed on the second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate includes a first terminal, a second terminal, a first conductive portion electrically coupled to the first terminal, and a second conductive portion electrically coupled to the second terminal, the second substrate includes a third conductive portion electrically coupled to the second electrode, and a fourth conductive portion electrically coupled to the third conductive portion, and the electrooptical device further includes a first coupling member electrically coupling the first conductive portion and the third conductive portion, and a second coupling member electrically coupling the second conductive portion and the fourth conductive portion.

A display device with a sensor in which the deterioration of display quality is suppressed even when the sensor wires are superimposed on the respective slits of two detection electrodes disposed side by side. The device includes a plurality of detection electrodes, sensor wires, pixels, scanning lines, and signal lines on a first insulating substrate. The detection electrodes are arrayed in a matrix in first direction and second directions. The sensor wires and signal lines are disposed alternately in the first direction and provided on the same layer. Switching elements of two of the pixels disposed side by side in the first direction each are coupled to one of the signal lines, and the signal line is superimposed on the corresponding detection electrode that straddles the two pixels. The sensor wires are disposed between the two pixels and superimposed on the respective slits of the two detection electrodes.

A light adjustment device includes a panel unit having a rectangular pillar shape and including a plurality of light adjustment panels stacked in a first direction, each light adjustment panel having a polygonal shape and including a lower substrate and an upper substrate overlapping the lower substrate. According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate, an active area in which pixels are arranged, and a peripheral area positioned in a periphery of the active area. The peripheral area includes a drive element area in which a drive element configured to drive each of the pixels is arranged.

According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display unit that has a plurality of scanning signal lines to which a scanning signal is applied; a shift register that has a plurality of transfer circuits configured in a plurality of stages that perform a shift operation for temporarily storing a shift signal that has been input and sequentially transmitting the stored shift signal to a subsequent stage in synchronization with a clock signal having a discontinued period, and outputs the scanning signal to a scanning signal line corresponding to a transfer circuit that maintains the shift signal; and a signal line that transmits a holding potential signal for maintaining a potential of the shift signal to a transfer circuit that maintains the shift signal in the discontinued period of the clock signal.

Disclosed herein is a display device including: a display section configured to have a plurality of scanning signal lines to which respective scanning signals are applied, the display section performing line-sequential scanning by repeating interruption and resumption of the line-sequential scanning on a basis of the plurality of scanning signals, and displaying an image; and a scanning section configured to generate the plurality of scanning signals such that transition times on a pulse termination side of the respective scanning signals are equal to each other.

A shift register including a plurality of unit circuits sequentially transfers a start signal supplied to a first one of the unit circuits. Each unit circuit includes a clock terminal, an inverted clock terminal, a control terminal to which an output signal output from the output terminal of a subsequent unit circuit is supplied, a power supply terminal, a first transistor disposed between the clock terminal and the output terminal, a second transistor disposed between the output terminal and the power supply terminal, a capacitor, and a controller that supplies the start signal or the output signal of a previous unit circuit to the gate of the first transistor, and that controls the first transistor to be turned OFF later than a time at which the output signal of the subsequent unit circuit is supplied to the control terminal.
