A paper feeding system which comprises a paper rest rotatable around a support shaft provided on a main body; a pressure spring for pushing the paper rest to rotate toward a paper feed roller located above the paper rest; a baffle plate for preventing paper from shifting forward, provided on the main body at a position juxtapositioned to the leading end of the paper rest, with a clearance to allow the paper rest to rotate about the support shaft; paper stop ribs projecting from the surface of the baffle plate and running in the direction of the rotation of the paper rest; and notches formed in the leading end with respect to the paper feeding direction of the paper rest, permitting the ribs to interlock in the notches when the paper rest is rotated.

Paper feeding system for a shredder

An automatic paper feeder for use in a document shredder includes a paper feeding table for receiving a large number of paper sheets to be shredded in a stack, a feeding roller for feeding the paper sheets to be shredded on the paper feeding table, a set of shredding blades, and a driving device for driving the feeding roller for rotation. The rotational peripheral speed of the feeding roller are set larger than the speed of the shredding blades.

Automatic paper feeder for document shredder

An image formation apparatus is operable in two different modes. The selection of a mode is made automatically, depending on the size of the document to be scanned. If the document is bulky like a book and is placed on a document table by opening an automatic document feeder or if it is or sheet-like but long and cannot be wrapped around a document winding cylinder, the optical system is moved to scan the document. If the document is sheet-like and sufficiently short, it is wrapped around the cylinder and is scanned by a stationary optical system while the cylinder is rotated.
