A grease composition contains a calcium sulfonate complex grease and an additive. The additive includes an overbased metal sulfonate and an antioxidant. The overbased metal sulfonate is preferably an overbased calcium sulfonate. The antioxidant is preferably an aminic antioxidant.

A bearing grease composition contains a (A) thickener and a (B) base oil, in which the (A) thickener is a urea thickener represented by a formula (I) below, and, in observation of a transmission image in the bearing grease composition, a transmission-image-area ratio of an aggregation part having a transmission image area exceeding 40 &#x3bc;min the urea thickener is 15% or less relative to a total observation area.RNHCONHRNHCONHR&#x2003;&#x2003;(I) In the formula, Rand Reach independently represent: an (a1) monovalent chain hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms; an (a2) monovalent alicyclic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms; and the like, and Rrepresents an (a4) divalent aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms.

Grease composition for bearing

A bearing grease contains a base oil and a thickener. The base oil is a base oil mixture containing a polyalphaolefin and an ester. The bearing grease is used in an atmosphere of a fluorine compound refrigerant containing no hydrogen. A bearing using the bearing grease does not cause elution of grease for a long time. Further, since there is no need for a collecting system unlike lubricating oil, the arrangement around the bearing can be made compact. Thus, the bearing can be easily applied in a form of an energy recovery equipment to a vehicle or various industrial machineries.

A biodegradable lubricating oil composition includes (A) an ester represented by a formula (1) below, the ester having a kinematic viscosity in a range from 300 mm/s to 1000 mm/s at 40 degrees C. and an acid value of 0.5 mgKOH/g or less; (B) an ester being obtained by reacting a straight-chain saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid with a polyhydric alcohol, the ester having an acid value of 0.5 mgKOH/g or less; and (C) a phosphate amine salt being obtained by reacting an acidic phosphate with an alkylamine. In the formula, Ra is a hydrocarbyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, Rb is a hydrocarbyl group having 4 to 18 carbon atoms, Rc is an acyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and n is an integer of 3 to 15.

Biodegradable lubricant composition

The grease composition for a clean environment includes, a base oil, a thickener and a extreme-pressure agent, in which a kinetic viscosity of the base oil at 40&#xb0; C. is 100&#x2dc;300 mm/s, the thickener comprising a lithium complex soap, a content of the thickener is 10&#x2dc;40 mass % with respect to the total amount of the grease composition.

Grease composition and motion guiding device lubricated by grease composition

Bearing grease includes an ether base oil and a urea thickener, and is used in an atmosphere of a fluorine compound-based refrigerant. No grease is eluted for a long period in a bearing with use of the bearing grease. Moreover, since a collection system is unnecessary unlike a lubricating oil, the surroundings of the bearing can be made compact. Accordingly, the bearing with use of the bearing grease is easily applicable to automobiles and a variety of industrial machinery as an energy collection apparatus using the Rankine cycle.

A biodegradable lubricating oil composition includes (A) an ester being obtained by reacting a saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid, a straight-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol together, the ester having a kinematic viscosity in a range from 400 mm/s to 1000 mm/s at 40 degrees C. and an acid value of 0.5 mgKOH/g or less; (B) an ester being obtained by reacting a straight-chain saturated aliphatic carboxylic acid with a polyhydric alcohol, the ester having an acid value of 0.5 mgKOH/g or less; and (C) a phosphate amine salt being obtained by reacting an acidic phosphate with an alkylamine.

Grease which includes a base oil containing at least 50% by mass of a specific diester compound of a glycol with a branched carboxylic acid, and a specific diurea compound as a thickener. The grease is excellent in low-temperature performance and has low oil separation tendency. In particular, when used in a rotation transmission device having a built-in one-way clutch, the grease can provide satisfactory clutch engagement performance (intermeshing) at low temperatures and is less apt to cause oil separation under high centrifugal force.

A grease which comprises a base oil containing at least 50% by mass of a diester compound having a total carbon number of 28 to 40 and represented by the general formula (I):ROOC&#x2014;(R)&#x2014;COOR&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein Rand Reach independently represent a Cto Cmonovalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group, Rrepresents a Cto Cdivalent hydrocarbon group and n is 0 or 1. The grease is excellent in both low-temperature performance and high-temperature performance and has low oil separation tendency even under high centrifugal force (acceleration). In particular, when the grease is used in a rotational transmission device having a built-in one-way clutch, the grease can provide satisfactory clutch engagement property (intermeshing ability) at low temperatures and a prolonged bearing life at high temperatures and is less apt to cause oil separation under high centrifugal force.

A grease composition includes: a poly-&#x3b1;-olefin having a kinematic viscosity at 40 degrees C. of 60 to 320 mm/s, the poly-&#x3b1;-olefin being contained in an amount of 50 mass % or more relative to a whole composition; a thickener that is a lithium salt of a hydroxyl-free fatty acid having 10 to 22 carbon atoms; and an ashless dithiocarbamate and/or zinc dithiocarbamate that are contained in an amount of 0.1 to 1.5 mass % in terms of sulfur relative to a whole composition. In the grease composition, a phosphorous content is 0.05 mass % or less relative to the whole composition, and a worked penetration is in a range from 265 to 310.

Grease composition and direct-acting devices with the grease composition

Provided is a grease composition with a long service life under high-temperature conditions, considerable low-evaporability, and incombustibility. The invention provides a grease composition comprising, as a base oil, an ionic liquid formed of a cation and an anion and having an ion concentration of 1 mol/dmor more as measured at 20&#xb0; C., and a thickener, wherein the grease composition has a dropping point of 260&#xb0; C. or higher.

There is provided lubricants for power transmission which exhibit not only a high coefficient of traction but also a high flash point. The lubricants for power transmission according to the present invention contains an alicyclic alcohol carboxylic diester compound represented by the general formula (1):R&#x2014;CO&#x2014;O&#x2014;(X)&#x2014;Z&#x2014;(X)&#x2014;O&#x2014;CO&#x2014;R&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein Z is a cycloalkylene group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms; Rand Rare each independently a chain hydrocarbon group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms; Xand Xare each independently a linear or branched alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and m and n are respectively an integer of 0 or 1.
