An energy storage system according to an embodiment includes first and second power storage devices and performs charge/discharge control for the power storage devices based on a charge/discharge command value. The first power storage device performs discharging for one or more devices as destination via a power line or performs charging of power supplied from one or more devices as source via the power line, and the second power storage device performs charging and discharging for the first power storage device. The energy storage system also includes a control system that controls charge/discharge power of the second power storage device so that a power storage rate of the first power storage device falls within a predetermined power storage rate range and controls charge/discharge power of the first power storage device based on charge/discharge power corresponding to the charge/discharge command value and the charge/discharge power of the second power storage device.

Energy storage system and control method

A power storage control system includes a storage battery and a controller. The storage battery supplies electric power to an electric power system in collaboration with a power generator in response to a command value. The controller outputs, to the power generator, a stop signal causing the power generator to stop power generation when a state of charge of the storage battery is larger than a given value. The controller outputs, to the power generator, an execution signal causing the power generator to execute power generation when the state of charge is not larger than the given value. The controller acquires an actual electric power value generated by the power generator. The controller outputs a control signal causing the storage battery to execute charging and discharging for satisfying the command value on the basis of a difference between the command value and the actual electric power value.

Power storage control system

A battery monitoring device according to an embodiment monitors a state of a secondary battery block including parallel cell blocks connected in series each of which includes battery cells connected in parallel. A calculator calculates direct-current internal resistance values of the parallel cell blocks based on a differential current between first and second current values detected by a current detector, voltages of the parallel cell blocks corresponding to the first and second current values detected by a voltage detector. A determiner performs anomaly determination for the parallel cell blocks from the direct-current internal resistance values of the parallel cell blocks and a maximum value of the direct-current internal resistance values of the parallel cell blocks.

Battery monitoring device and method

A charging/discharging apparatus according to the present embodiment comprises first and second electrode terminals inputting or outputting direct-current power. First to third switching elements are connected in series between the first electrode and the second electrode. A first electric storage is connected in parallel to the second switching element located between the first switching element and the third switching element. A second electric storage is connected in parallel to the third switching element. First to third diodes are respectively connected in antiparallel to the first to third switching elements.

Charging/discharging apparatus

A controller of an embodiment includes a limiter receiving an active current command initial value, limiting a maximum value of the active current command initial value with a predetermined value, and outputting a first value; a circuit to calculate a reactive current command initial value; a calculator to calculate a reactive current command adjustment value; a unit receiving the first value as an input, and calculating a reactive current upper limit value such that a composite value of the first value and the reactive current upper limit value is equal to or smaller than an input current maximum value; and a limiter to output the reactive current command adjustment value or the reactive current upper limit value, whichever is smaller. The predetermined value is a value to set the reactive current upper limit value to a value larger than zero and smaller than the input current maximum value.

Power conversion controller

A power supply system according to the present embodiment is a control apparatus for a power supply system that includes a hydrogen power generator adapted to generate hydrogen using electric power supplied from a power generator and supply a load with electric power generated using the generated hydrogen, and a storage battery configured to be quicker in control response than the hydrogen power generator and adapted to get charged and discharged to offset excess and deficiency of the electric power supplied to the load from the power generator, the control apparatus including: an acquiring unit adapted to acquire information about remaining energy in the storage battery; and a controller adapted to control the hydrogen power generator so as to start generating electric power when it is expected, based on the information, that the remaining energy in the storage battery reaches a first threshold within a predetermined time.

Apparatus for power supply system, control method for power supply system, and power supply system

A power supply apparatus includes a control circuit, and first and second power storage connected to a DC link circuit between an inverter and a converter. The control circuit, while the AC power supply is in a normal condition, controls the first power storage to discharge when the control circuit detects that electric power consumption exceeds a threshold, and controls at least one of the first and second power storage to charge when the control circuit detects that the electric power consumption does not exceed the threshold, and while the AC power supply is in an abnormal condition, controls the second power storage to discharge, and controls the first power to discharge when it is detected that the electric power consumption exceeds the threshold.

When a voltage-fluctuation suppression device suppresses, for input/output of connected power between a first power grid, or a commercial power grid, and a second power grid including a power generation device and grid-connected to the first power grid, voltage fluctuations in the first power grid, a control unit includes a voltage allowable range computing unit, controls a ratio between active and reactive power output by the voltage-fluctuation suppression device to be equal to a ratio between active and reactive power of power flowing between the first and second power grids, and controls the ratio between the active and reactive power output by the voltage-fluctuation suppression device to be equal to the ratio between the active and reactive power of power flowing between the first and second power grids.

An apparatus is disclosed that includes a resistance measuring unit operable to determine a solution resistance Rsol and a charge transfer resistance Rct of a battery; and at least one computer-readable non-transitory storage medium comprising code, that, when executed by at least one processor, is operable to provide an estimate of the present value of the battery by: comparing Rsol and Rct to historical deterioration transition information; estimating the number of remaining charge cycles before a discharge capacity lower limit is reached by the battery using the comparison; and estimating the number of remaining charge cycles before a discharge time lower limit is reached by the battery using the comparison. The estimate of the present value of the battery includes the smaller of the number of remaining charge cycles before a discharge capacity lower limit is reached or the number of remaining charge cycles before a discharge time lower limit is reached.

Battery diagnosis device and method

According to one embodiment, a secondary battery control apparatus includes a charger/discharger and a charge/discharge controller. The charger/discharger connects a plurality of secondary batteries, and charges one secondary battery by electric power discharged by another secondary battery. The charge/discharge controller controls the charger/discharger such that charging and discharging are performed between the plurality of secondary batteries by using the charger/discharger if battery temperature information detected by temperature detector is lower than a preset threshold temperature, wherein the charging is stopped and switched to discharging or pause if voltage information detected by the voltage detector reaches the upper limit voltage of the secondary battery, and the discharging is stopped and switched to charging or pause if the voltage information detected by the voltage detector reaches the lower limit voltage of the secondary battery.

Battery control apparatus

A battery system includes a battery unit in which battery arms are connected in parallel, and a charge/discharge control device that controls charge/discharge of the battery unit. Each of the battery arms includes: a battery composed of one or more battery cells connected in series; a switch connected in series to the battery; and a battery monitoring device that, in a case of having detected abnormality of the battery, opens the switch to thereby isolate the battery arm including the abnormal battery, and sends a switch opening signal indicating that the switch has been opened to the charge/discharge control device. The charge/discharge control device performs a control to reduce a charge/discharge current or charge/discharge power of the battery unit when the switch opening signal is sent from the battery monitoring device of the battery unit to the charge/discharge control device.

Battery system using battery unit in which battery arms are connected in parallel

In addition to the construction of a typical elevator control device in which power generated during regenerative operation is dissipated by a resistance chopper (), an elevator control device is newly provided with: an electric double layer capacitor () connected in parallel with the DC capacitor () that smoothes the DC ripple of the rectifier circuit () that rectifies the AC power of the AC power source () and having an electrostatic capacitance that is considerably larger than this DC capacitor; a voltage detection circuit () that detects the terminal voltage of this electric double layer capacitor; and a drive control unit () that uses a voltage in the vicinity of the rated voltage of the electric double layer capacitor as the operating voltage of resistance chopper and, when the terminal voltage detected by a voltage detection circuit reaches the voltage in the vicinity of the rated voltage of the electric double layer capacitor, operates and controls the resistance chopper.

An electric motor control apparatus including an inverter which drives a motor of an electric motor car, storage unit for storing energy for the motor, and a converter which is connected to the storage unit, the inverter comprising detection unit for detecting a power value of the motor, and transmission unit for transmitting the power value detected by the detection unit to the converter, and the converter comprising calculation unit for receiving the power value transmitted by the transmission unit, and calculating an absorption current on the basis of the received power value, and control unit for controlling the storage unit on the basis of the absorption current calculated by the calculation unit.

Electric motor car control apparatus

A series compensator, connected in series to an AC transmission line, for compensating for an electric amount, such as a voltage, current, phase or impedance, of the AC transmission line, comprises a first capacitor and a second capacitor connected in series to each other and connected to the AC transmission line, and a compensation current generator connected in parallel to the first capacitor. This structure eliminates the need for a bypass transmission line to simplify the main transmission line structure, has an enhanced current controllability, reduces harmonics to be generated and realizes an economical way of ensuring a large compensation amount.
