A management computer () is placed in a home country, and an instructor terminal () and a driver terminal () are placed in a delivery area overseas. The management computer () generates screen information, displayed in a domestic language and including a delivery instruction for a package, and transmits the screen information toward the instructor terminal () and the driver terminal (). The instructor terminal () or the like, specifies a language, to be used in an area to which a delivery destination belongs, from the address of the delivery destination included in the delivery instruction in the received screen information, and translates the screen information in the specified language, then displays it. When a display language is designated, the instructor terminal () or the like translates the screen information in the designated language and displays it.

A print data forming apparatus has an authentication information setting unit which sets authentication information into a print job. A print processing apparatus has: a print job storing unit which receives and stores the print job in which the authentication information has been set; an operation panel control unit which receives the authentication information based on a print request; an authentication discriminating unit which compares the authentication information based on the print request received through the operation panel control unit with the authentication information of the stored print job, thereby discriminating whether or not they coincide; and a print job managing unit which, if they coincide, allows all print jobs having the authentication information that coincides with the authentication information based on the print request among the stored print jobs to be print-processed. A print system which can perform the authentication printing with high workability is obtained.

A double-hung window has auxiliary vertical frames mounted on respective left and right stiles of inner and outer sliding sash units without providing respective outer peripheries of rectangular stile-rail assemblies of the inner and the outer sliding sash units with frameworks wherein the inner and the outer sliding sash units are respectively constructed so as to be slidably moved up and down freely through the auxiliary vertical frames along inner and outer guide recesses formed, respectively, in the left and right vertical frame members of a window frame, so that the outer surfaces of the glasses attached to inner and outer sliding sashes can be readily cleaned, and that the weight of the inner and the outer sliding sashes can be reduced so as to reduce the resistance to sliding thereof, thereby enabling the inner and the outer sliding sashes to be slidably moved smoothly.

Double-hung window

An apparatus, for retaining a sash in a desired open position in a projected window, comprises at least one retaining unit adapted to be mounted on an outer frame, and at least one transforming unit adapted to be mounted within an inner frame. The retaining unit includes a tube-like member adapted to be pivotally connected to the outer frame, and a rod turnably and telescopically received in the tube-like member. The transforming unit is operatively connected to a handle (on the inner frame) and the rod for, in response to angular movement of the handle, turning the rod between a first position in which the rod is prevented from being longitudinally or axially moved relative to the tube-like member and a second position in which the rod is allowed to be longitudinally or axially moved relative to the tube-like member.

The device includes an externally threaded regulating shaft having both its ends rotatably supported on a frame, a movable member designed to be in engagement with the external thread of the shaft and reciprocate axially in association with the rotation of the shaft, a lower limit stopper for the pendulum, which is integral with the movable member, a buffer lever rotatably mounted on the frame, which is designed such that, when the acceleration acting upon the pendulum exceeds a certain value, it buffers the swinging of the pendulum and the other end secured to the other end of the buffer lever.

A weathertight sash window assembly including a pair of first and second engaging members disposed on and extending longitudinally of a pair of meeting first and second stiles, respectively. The first engaging member is movable between a first position in which the first engaging member pulls or draws the second engaging member toward the interior of the window assembly to force the second stile firmly on to the first stile throughout their length and a second position in which the first engaging member releases the second engaging member to allow the second stile off the first stile. The sash window assembly further includes means on the first stile for moving the first engaging member between the first and second positions in response to movement of a first fastener member between its locked and unlocked positions.

Weathertight sliding sash window assembly

A water-drainable gasket for use between a panel and a frame includes a continuous channel-shaped body having a pair of spaced sidewalls and a bottom wall. A plurality of pairs of transversely spaced water draining holes extend through the bottom, each pair of the holes being transversely aligned with each other. The pairs of the holes are spaced at an interval along the length of the continuous gasket. The holes in each pair are located adjacent to or extend partly through the sidewalls. Further, the holes extend perpendicularly to the bottom or at an angle to each other and to the sidewalls.

Water-drainable gasket

A door hinge attachment device for a door having a core of hardboard or like relatively soft material sandwiched between and adhered to a pair of face panels and the resulting assembly. The attachment device includes a pair of gripping jaws embracing the hinged edge of the door and bolted thereto, and a mounting plate integral with one of the gripping jaws and tongue-and-groove jointed to or integral with the other. Fitted flush in a recess in the door edge, the mounting plate has a set of tapped holes to permit one of the leaves of a butt hinge to be screwed thereto through a frame member extending along and embracing the peripheral edges of the door.

Door hinge attachment device

An exterior window unit is adapted to cover an opening in a building wall. A frame sill has a vertical mounting portion adapted to be mated with and secured to a fixed sill in the building wall. The frame sill has a plurality of rail portions extending along the length of the vertical mounting portion and spaced vertically along the height thereof. A plurality of sashes are mounted within the window frame in parallel closely spaced planes and have at their respective lower edges engaging means with which the rail portions engage for guiding the horizontal movement of the sashes therealong.

Exterior window unit

An adjustable catch assembly or window lock used with closures such as window sashes having meeting stiles has a cam or rotary crescent rotatably mounted on one of the meeting stiles and a cam keeper secured to the other meeting stile. The cam is rotated into engagement with the cam keeper to retain the closures in closed position. The cam keeper has means for adjusting and fixing the relative distance between a hook or keeper detent of the cam keeper and the stile to which the cam keeper is secured in order to compensate for disengagement or misalignment of the keeper detent or hook from a cam surface of the cam secured to the other meeting stile. The fixing means comprises either of a plurality of equally spaced-apart recesses formed transversely in or an elongated projection formed transversely on the cam keeper, and either of a rib or ribs formed longitudinally on or a plurality of equally spaced-apart grooves formed longitudinally in the keeper-carrying meeting stile. A selected one of the recesses in or the projection on the cam keeper is engageable with the rib or ribs on or selected one of the grooves in the meeting stile.

Closure construction having adjustable catch assembly

An exterior window unit for covering the outside of an opening in a building wall. The unit has a frame header comprising a vertical mounting plate, a first horizontal plate projecting outwardly from the mounting plate, a second horizontal plate projecting outwardly from the mounting plate and spaced upwardly of the first horizontal plate, and a slanted surface extending downwardly from said second to said first horizontal plate. The second horizontal plate has at its outer end a drip flange projecting downwardly therefrom.

Exterior window unit having frame header

An exterior window unit is adapted to cover an opening in a building wall. An adapter sill member has a vertical and a horizontal section adapted to be secured, respectively, to an exterior vertical and a horizontal top surface of a fixed sill in the building wall, the adapter sill member having a first engaging means extending along its lower edge. A frame sill of the unit has a mounting means having a vertical and a horizontal portion adapted to be secured, respectively, to the vertical and horizontal sections of the adapter sill member, the frame sill having a second mounting means having a second engaging means which engages the first engaging means.

Exterior window unit having adapter sill member

There is disclosed a ventilator for use with windows, doors, or other building hardware. The ventilator includes an inner plate having air vents and an outer plate spaced apart from the inner plate in the transverse direction of the ventilator and providing an opening displaced from the air vents. Provided between the inner and outer plates are a filter and a partition extending from the inner plate toward the outer plate until it abuts against the filter. The partition is adapted to direct a flow of air from the opening to the air vents at least twice through the filter. The ventilator is prefabricated as a unit and is easily installed within the windows, doors and the like.

Ventilator

A paneled door construction comprises a pair of first and second stiles, top and bottom rails connecting the stiles together, a muntin extending vertically between the top and bottom rails, and a pair of block assemblies disposed between the first stile and the muntin, and between the second stile and the muntin, respectively. The block assemblies each include a pair of inner stiles spaced apart horizontally from each other and extending vertically between the top and bottom rails, and alternate blocks and block-parting members sandwiched between the inner stiles. The blocks and block-parting members are attached by screws to the inner stiles by bringing the former into contact with the inner stiles, and then threading said screws into the blocks and the block-parting members through the inner stiles.

Paneled door construction

For connection of a series of balusters to a top rail, each baluster is provided with a pair of jaws extending upwardly from its top end. The top rail has an integral retainer ridge formed lengthwise on its bottom surface. The retainer ridge includes a pair of shoulders having transversely registered pairs of recesses at prescribed longitudinal spacings. A pair of grooves are formed lengthwise in the respective lateral surfaces of the retainer ridge, and another pair of grooves are formed lengthwise in the bottom surface of the top rail on both sides of the retainer ridge. The jaws of each baluster are inserted into the respective grooves in the bottom surface of the top rail via the respective recesses, and the mid-portions of the jaws are then caused to project into the respective grooves in the lateral surfaces of the retainer ridge by pressing operation. The balusters can likewise be connected to a bottom rail.
