A transport apparatus that enables a trough to be easily removed in one step, and a combination weighing apparatus provided with the same are provided. The transport apparatus includes a trough and a reciprocating movement mechanism, and is configured to convey an article placed in the trough in a predetermined direction. The reciprocating movement mechanism includes a motor box, and a support member. The trough has one of a protruding part and a depressed part, while the support member had the other of the protruding part and the depressed part. The motor is configured to move the trough via the support member along the conveyance direction such that the trough moves faster in a direction opposite the conveyance direction than in the conveyance direction. The protruding part is removably connected to the depressed part.

A weighing device includes a supply unit, a weighing unit, a stock unit, a discharge unit, a transfer unit, and a revolving mechanism. The stock unit stocks a plurality of containers while holding the plurality of containers three-dimensionally and revolving them. The discharge unit discharges the target object from the container while revolving the container.

A weighing section includes a plurality of weighing members and a power supply mechanism. The weighing members weigh an object while moving. The power supply mechanism includes a fixed section, a rotatable section moving along the movement of the weighing members, a primary coil provided on the fixed section, and a secondary coil provided on the rotatable section. The power supply mechanism supplies power to the primary coil, retrieves an induced electromotive force from the secondary coil, and supplies power to the weighing members.

A filtering technique which makes it possible to easily and appropriately eliminate a noise without increasing a scale of a circuit necessary for a filtering process even if a noise frequency is liable to be changed is provided. A filter coefficient calculator () of a weight measurement apparatus calculates filter coefficients using a predetermined arithmetic expression and outputs them to a signal processor (). The signal processor () carries out a filtering process on a weighing signal (Ds) using the filter coefficients. The arithmetic expression includes a parameter specifying a band position of an attenuation band where attenuation must be locally enhanced. A user can input a value of the parameter via a data entry part (). In this manner, the filter coefficients can be changed by using a parameter specifying the band position of the attenuation band which is physical and thus easy to grasp. Accordingly, it is possible to easily move the attenuation band, and thus noise can be eliminated easily and appropriately.

The weight detecting apparatus includes a weight detecting load cell having a fixed end fixed to a fixed base arranged on a floor and a free end bearing a weight of an object, a first vibration detecting load cell arranged on the fixed end side of the weight detecting load cell for detecting a vibration component on the fixed end side, i.e., a floor vibration component, and a second vibration detecting load cell arranged on the free end side of the weight detecting load cell for detecting a motor vibration component on the free end side, i.e., the motor vibration component. The weight detecting apparatus precisely detects the weight of the object by removing the vibration component from the detection signal of the weight detecting load cell based on the detection signals of the respective load cells.

A noise canceling apparatus () comprises an amplifier () for amplifying a measured signal (ms) outputted from a measuring device (), an analog filter (), an ADC (), a digital filter (), a coefficient control section (), and a data input section (). The digital filter () is a notch filter for attenuating a frequency component of a quantitative signal D(n) outputted from the ADC () at a plurality of notches (stop bands). A transfer function of the digital filter () is expressed by the product of a plurality of factors each having a root that corresponds to each one of the plurality of notches. The coefficient control section () changes a frequency component of a root corresponding to a notch selected from the plurality of notches, and thereafter, expands in a polynomial the transfer function of the reconstructed digital filter (). On the basis of the polynomial thereby obtained, a new series of filter coefficients is calculated. A filter characteristic is controlled in such a manner that it conforms to a frequency variation of a fixed-period vibration noise, whereby the fixed-period vibration noise that varies in frequency is attenuated with a high degree of precision.

The coating film is formed on the strain body , covers at least a portion of the strain body attached to a member made of a metal material dissimilar to the strain body and a strain occurring portion of the strain body except for a portion to be attached to the strain gauge , includes a coating layer made of resin having a glass transition temperature of 40&deg; C. or more, and has an electrical insulating property.

A weighing machine, such as a combinational weighing machine, has scale cells and a plurality of dummy cells installed on the same floor. The scale cells output weight signals corresponding to the weights of objects being loaded. The mode of vibrations of the floor is detected from dummy signals from the dummy cells, vertical displacements of the floor at the positions of the scale cells are calculated, and their effects are eliminated from the weight signals. Those of the scale cells not selected after a cycle of combinational calculations can be used as dummy cells in the next cycle. A memory device may be provided to store preferred combinations of such scale cells not selected that may be used for this purpose. Effects of the floor vibrations can be eliminated more accurately if the differences in sensitivity among the cells due to physical characteristics of the individual cells and/or due to the different loads on them can be taken into account either by a feedback calculation or by a formula.

Method of and means for correcting effects of floor vibrations on weight

A multi-point cell type weighing machine has a plural number of scale cells set on a floor to support a table and to output weight signals indicative of weights measured thereby of a target object placed on the table. One or more floor vibration detecting cells are set on the same floor and output floor vibration detection signals indicative of the vibrations of the floor. The weight signals are corrected on the basis of vibration components of the floor vibration detection signals. A standard weight is placed at a larger plural number of places on the table than there are scale cells and output sensitivity ratios among the scale cells are calculated from outputted values from the scale cells, and the weight signals are further corrected on the basis of the output sensitivity ratios. These weight signals are added together and the weight of the target object is obtained from the added signal. A plurality of floor vibration detecting cells may be set on the floor, each near different one of the scale cells, or they may be set anywhere on the floor and a mode of floor vibrations may calculated from their outputs. A single floor vibration detecting cell may be set between the scale cells. The table is supported by the scale cells through elastic pieces such that only vertical forces are communicated to the scale cells.

A weighing apparatus has a weighing conveyor with a conveyor belt driven by a drive motor for transporting and weighing an object at the same time and outputting a weight signal indicative of its weight. The lengths of the weighing conveyor and the object in the direction of transportation are inputted and the weight signals outputted by the weighing conveyor are filtered so as to eliminate vibration components due to the vibration of the conveyor. The distance traveled by the object on the weighing conveyor is detected from the angle of rotation of the drive motor, and the timing for processing the weight signals, or when to start the measurement of weight and when to obtain the weight value, is determined independent of the transportation speed of the belt but from the detected distance traveled by the object and the inputted length values.

A weighing method and apparatus includes a weighing cell for weighing an article and outputting a weighing signal corresponding to the weight thereof and a floor vibration detecting cell for detecting vibration of a floor on which the weighing cell is installed and for outputting a floor vibration detection signal. The weighing signal and the floor vibration detection signal are selectively sampled at a predetermined sampling frequency and an A/D converter converts each of the sampled signals into a digital weighing signal or a digital floor vibration detection signal, respectively. A first digital filter filters the digital weighing signal and a second digital filter filters the digital floor vibration detection signal. A floor vibration compensator subtracts the filtered digital floor vibration detection signal from the filtered digital weighing signal and outputs a floor vibration compensated signal wherein an error of the weighing signal caused by the floor vibration is compensated for. A phase corrector nullifies a phase difference, caused by a difference in the times at which the weighing signal and the floor vibration detection signal are sampled, by applying a suitable correction, corresponding to the phase difference, to the weighing signal or the floor vibration detection signal before or after filtering.

Combinational weigher

A weighing machine has a weighing conveyor with a conveyor belt supported by a load cell and uses a digital filter to eliminate high-frequency components of weight signals from the weighing conveyor. In order to improve accuracy of measurement, operating conditions of the digital filter are set with regard to the length of the object to be weighed. Alternatively, time required for the object to be completely on the conveyor belt may be calculated or the timing for the zero-point adjustment for the load cell may be adjusted accordingly.
