An object of the present invention is to provide an antifreeze solution which is used by adding it to a heating medium of a heat exchanger or a radiator coolant for an internal combustion car engine, which can be used to prevent the icing of road surfaces, which is easy to use and environmentally friendly, and which does not contain environmentally harmful substances such as ethylene glycol so that it can be easily treated for disposal after use. Another object of the present invention is to provide an antifreeze solution which contains water as a main component and glycerin. The undiluted antifreeze solution does not freeze even at &#x2212;20&#xb0; C. or less at normal pressures and is composed of components at a certain ratio.

Antifreeze solution and rust inhibitor added thereto

The present invention provides a purifying agent having an effect of removing or decomposing toxic substances contained in flue gas or incinerated ash. The purifying agent of the present invention contains one or more kinds of salts selected from alkali metal silicates, fluoride ion, hydrogencarbonate ion, and water-soluble alcohols or derivatives thereof.

The object of the present invention is to provide a water-base lubricating fluid or a water-base hydraulic fluid in place of an oily liquid which has been used as a lubricating oil or a hydraulic oil applied onto the operating part of a machine and a device. The lubricating fluid of the present invention comprises fluoride ion, hydrogencarbonate ion, and water-soluble alcohols or their derivatives.

An object of the present invention is to provide an aquarous rust inhibitor having low toxicity and excellent rust resistance, which contains saturated fatty acid, saturated dicarboxylic acid and salt thereof, derivatives of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid, tolyltriazole or benzotriazole, fatty acid metal salt, and water.

Rust preventive

A metal-working water or a metal-working composition which has excellent cooling and lubricating properties and does not exert a harmful influence on the environment. A metal-working water containing sodium ion and one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of fluoride ion, hydrogencarbonate ion and silicon and being adjusted to pH 6.0 to pH 10 can be used as a substitute for a conventional cutting oil. A metal-working composition including a metal-working water with such additive as a rust-preventive agent and being adjusted to pH 6.0 to pH 10 can also be used.

A water-soluble cutting fluid which is characterized by excellent cooling and lubricating properties and does not exert a harmful influence on the environment. A solution containing hydrogencarbonate ion, bromide ion, carbonic acid ion, and, if necessary, fluoride ion, and being adjusted to a pH of 7.0 to 11.5 can be used as a substitute for a cutting oil. A water-soluble cutting fluid further including additives such as rust-preventive agents and the like can be also used as a substitute for conventional cutting oil.

A hair dryer is provided with a hot air vent for preventing excessive rises in the air temperature of its hair-winding attachment. This vent is in addition to the air blowing holes of the hair-winding attachment for drying the hair. The dryer includes a temperature-sensitive valve for opening the hot air vent at a predetermined abnormal air temperature in the hair-winding attachment to prevent an excessive rise in temperature of the air in the hair-winding attachment which may damage the hair or the dryer body.

Hair dryer

Flat and compact hair dryer of a type having a housing and an electric cord which can be wound in an outer peripheral groove of the housing. The cord is connected to a switch by means of a bushing rotatably pivoted within the housing so that the inner end of the bushing prevents the switch from moving to its ON-position from an OFF-position when the cord is wound around the housing. When the switch is in the ON-position, the bushing is prevented from rotating to a retracted position, thereby providing an indication that the switch is on.
