The auxiliary structure for connecting a connector for use in portable telephones of the present invention provides structure for connecting a connector for charging a telephone body and/or performing data communication with the telephone body to a socket exposed from an opening provided on the telephone body. Removably attached to the opening is a connecting auxiliary member which is made of softer material than the one used for a casing of the telephone body. The connecting auxiliary member is formed with an insertion hole for the connector to be fitted into and formed with a guide face for guiding an end portion of the connector to a position of engagement with the socket. Accordingly, when the connector is connected to the socket of the telephone body, the end portion of the connector can easily be engaged with the socket, and the connector is unlikely to be damaged.

A clamshell type image forming apparatus, in which a process cartridge included in an upper structure is supported pivotably to a fixed position and a dismounting position against the upper structure, a developing unit included in a lower structure is supported thereon pivotably to a position just opposing to an image holding medium and a position spaced therefrom, and a plate spring which urges the developing unit toward a position spaced from the image holding medium is disposed on the lower structure side, and a plate spring which urges the developing unit toward a position just opposing to the image holding medium is disposed on the upper structure side, thereby inconveniences produced by providing the process cartridge on the upper structure are solved, and by reducing a collision between the developing unit and the image holding medium due to the open-and-close operation of the upper structure, it is possible to prevent a damage of the process cartridge including the image holding medium.

Clamshell type image forming apparatus

A motion picture projector in which projector mechanisms are incorporated in the body of a carrying case, the opening of which is covered by a panel structure on which a reel setting portion and an operation board are disposed. The panel structure is provided with a projection window through which a light beam from the projector mechanisms is projected. A cover attached to the case body by hinge means is provided in the inside thereof with a rear-projection screen assembly, which is adapted to engage the case body and to be supported in a predetermined angle together with the case cover when unfolded. A light beam from the projection window is reflected by a mirror disposed in the inside of the case cover so as to be projected on the screen assembly. A projector in accordance with the present invention is formed in a readily portable shape and has high versatility because films wound upon usual open-type reels are available. In addition, the projected image is easy to see because of the large screen size. A generally available attache case can be used instead of a specially designed case, and the use of such ready-made case results in a reduced manufacturing cost. High operation efficiency is also expected.
