An electromagnetic solenoid drive apparatus for use in a vehicle for turning on an electromagnetic solenoid from a battery every time when a command switch is turned on comprises first and second resistors connected in series to each other on an electric line for flowing an electric current through the electromagnetic solenoid; a first switching element turned on in a state in which an output voltage of the battery is lower than a predetermined threshold voltage and short-circuiting both ends of the first resistor; a timer circuit operated for only a constant time in association with the turning-on operation of the command switch; and a second switching element turned on during only the operating period of the timer circuit and short-circuiting both ends of the second resistor.

Electromagnetic solenoid drive apparatus in a vehicle

An intermittent drive controller for a windshield wiper having a drive circuit for driving a wiper motor, a drive command circuit connected to the drive circuit by way of a semiconductor device, and a braking circuit related to the above circuits. When a wiper switch is operated, the wiper motor is driven, thereby starting the wiping movement of the wiper. When the wiper motor pauses, the motor switch outputs a pause signal, thereby instantly stopping the wiper motor. On the other hand, after a certain period of time has passed, a new drive command signal is supplied from the drive command circuit to the drive circuit, thereby driving the wiper motor again, thus effecting the intermittent drive control. This arrangement employs no electromagnetic relays so that it is free from noise which may generate when the wipe motor starts or stops and from malfunctions due to imperfect contact, thus improving the durability. Also it can positively control the wiper motor by braking the wiper at the moment in which the motor pauses.

Intermittent drive controller for windshield wiper motor

A wiper control system having a timing circuit for operating the wiper a predetermined time after the operation of the liquid spray pump commences operation and continues a predetermined time after the liquid spray pump stops. The system operates the wiper at high speed in the washer mode and in one embodiment changes to high speed and in another embodiment changes to low speed upon operation of the wiper to the off mode.

Wiper control system

A switching assembly to be incorporated in a window-regulator for a motor vehicle and the like, which includes paired units of switching members, each of which is arranged to serve for operating an electric motor in either of two rotational directions in a manual mode or in an automatic mode subject to the displacing amount of a single switching knob, and an electric circuit means including a solenoid for selectively self-retaining and self-releasing the automatic operating mode. The switching assembly is arranged to be capable of selectively energizing and de-energizing the electric motor incorporated in the window-regulator together with operating the solenoid simultaneously.

A switch structure in which manual reset of the automatic knob is performed against the urging force of spring of sliding rod and is not affected by the energizing power supply to be solenoid with much improvement of operational feeling, in which one-way driving type solenoid and automatic knob holding performed by way of detent plate having moderating portion urged by the spring can make the switch means in light weight and small size and in which the usage of movable moderating plate for resetting manual knob makes easy actual installation in the limited space.
