A fluid injection valve has: a valve body that is provided with an opening portion at one axial end thereof and is for starting and stopping a supply of a fluid out of the opening portion; and an injection port plate having a plurality of injection ports that penetrate therethrough, the injection port plate being fixed on the one axial end of the valve body to form a fluid chamber between itself and the valve body to accumulate the fluid therein and to which at least a part of the injection ports opens. A circumferential surface of the fluid chamber recedes toward the injection ports so as to decrease a cross-sectional area of the fluid chamber that is taken along a radial direction of the injection port plate and to reserve a predetermined length of distance between itself and the injection ports.

Fluid injection valve

A fluid injection nozzle has an injection port plate, an injection port and a protruding portion. The injection port plate is to be mounted on a downstream end of a fluid injection valve so that a center axis thereof is coaxial to the fluid injection valve. The injection port penetrates the injection port plate between an inlet and an outlet. The protruding portion protrudes from an inner surface of the injection port to shift a direction of at least a part of a fluid flow passing through the injection port to flow in a circumferential direction of the inner surface.

Fluid injection nozzle, fuel injector having the same and manufacturing method of the same

A fuel injector has a chamber between a valve body and a plate in which a plurality of through holes are formed. The chamber has a diameter larger than that of an opening of the valve body. The through holes are opened at an outer chamber area shaded by the valve body are distanced from an outer wall of the chamber more than a diameter of the through hole. Fuel flowing along an inner inclined surface of the valve body turns to the through holes and flows into the through hole from all directions and collides with each other at inlets of the through hole. Therefore, injected fuel has a lot of turbulences and is finely atomized.

Fluid injection nozzle

At fuel downstream end of a valve body, there is arranged an injection port plate formed into a thin disc shape. In the injection port plate, there are formed four injection ports having fuel inlets in a common circumference on the center axis of the injection port plate. The injection ports are formed in the fuel injecting direction apart from the center axis of the injection port plate. In each injection port, with respect to the injection port axis joining the center of the fuel inlet and the center of the fuel outlet of each injection port, the injection port inner circumference more distant from the center axis of the injection port plate is more inclined toward the outer circumference with respect to the center axis than the injection port inner circumference less distance from the center axis of the injection port plate with respect to the injection port axis.

A fuel injector comprises an injector body and an air assisting adapter. The adapter is attached to the injector body and has a fuel passage for guiding spray of injected fuel. The fuel passage is divided into two directions. A plurality of air introduction holes are communicated with the fuel passage, so that pressurized air is introduced into the fuel passage to atomize the injected fuel. The air introduction holes open to the passage at a position where the particle size of the injected fuel starts to reduce. This position is 4 mm to 5 mm away in the downstream direction from an injection port plate of the injector body.

Air-assisted type fuel injector for engines

A fuel injection control system for an engine enhances efficiency for charging suctioned air into a cylinder stabilizes a fuel combustion state. An engine intake pipe is provided with an air-assisted injector. Fuel injected by the injector flows into a combustion chamber within the cylinder via an intake valve. An ECU controls the injector drive so that injected fuel flows into the cylinder about 1/3 of the time at the beginning of the valve opening period. This arrangement allows a large amount of fuel supplied into the cylinder to be vaporized quickly and completely before the intake value is closed. At this time, because temperature of air drops due to heat of vaporization of the fuel, weight (density) of air suctioned into the cylinder per unit volume increases, thus enhancing the charging efficiency of suctioned air.

Fuel injection control for internal combustion engine

A fuel injection valve, having an injector pipe containing a needle valve therein, an electromagnetic coil for driving the needle valve and a yoke forming a magnetic circuit, intermittently injects fuel fed from the top of the injection valve to an internal combustion engine according to longitudinal movement of the needle valve. The injector pipe is made of a compound magnetic material and formed into a single piece by a drawing process, the single piece including two magnetic portions and a non-magnetic portion interposed between two magnetic portions. The non-magnetic portion intercepts magnetic flux flow between the magnetic portions. The electromagnetic coil is molded by resin together with other components, and the yoke is formed separately. The yoke is mounted on the molded coil from its lateral side, making an assembly including the coil and the yoke. The injector pipe is inserted into a bore formed in the coil, and then the yoke is connected to the injector pipe by welding. The yoke and the molded coil are designed so that they are automatically positioned at a right place when they are assembled. Thus, the fuel injection valve is easily assembled in a simple process and at a low cost.

Fuel injection valve and its manufacturing method

In a fuel supply device for an engine, a clip is fitted in two grooves formed in a fuel injector through its pawls parallel with each other, and fitted with a convex portion formed on a fuel delivery pipe through its window portion. The clip is prevented from slipping out of the injector in an axial direction and the fuel delivery pipe. Even if a wire harness tends to slip out of an electric connector, a sealing member is stopped at a stopper plate of the clip to thereby prevent the wire harness from slipping out.

A central member of a sensor unit is inserted through a sensor unit mounting hole of a cylindrical body having a main passage and the sensor unit is assembled on the cylindrical body. The sensor unit comprises the central member which is provided at the center of the main passage and has internally a bypass passage, a flow sensor provided in the bypass passage, a rib which supports the central member, a mounting section which secures the rib to the cylindrical body, an electronic circuit assembled on the rib, and a connector section retaining terminals being connected electrically to the electronic circuit section. Positioning, mounting and securing of the flow sensor can be made simultaneously by a simple process to insert the sensor sensor unit through the hole. Turbulence, eccentricity and others in the upstream air are reduced so that the flow rate of a highly rectified fluid can be measured.

Thermal flow meter with less turbulence in fluid flow

A fuel supply system is composed of a fuel rail, a fuel injection valve and a fuel filter. The fuel injection valve has an electromagnetic solenoid, a valve member, a valve guide member and a valve seat. A plurality of slanted fuel passages are formed in the surface of the valve guide to evacuate bubble from the fuel. The fuel rail is composed of a resinous upper case member and a resinous lower case member. The fuel injection valve is held between the upper and lower case members in the axial direction of the valve. An elastic sheet member is interposed between the upper case member and the fuel injection valve, and an elastic O-ring is disposed around the fuel injection valve to reduce stress applied to the fuel injection valve in installing the fuel rail to an engine.

Fuel supply system having fuel rail

A flow meter for measuring a flow rate of fluid includes a body providing a main passage through which the fluid flows. A plurality of support elements connect an inner wall surface of the body and a central element so as to support the central element substantially at the center of the main passage. An introducing port opens to the central element for introducing a part of the fluid flowing through the main passage. A branch passage is formed within the central element, through which such part of the fluid flows. A sensor is disposed within the branch passage for measuring a flow rate within the branch passage. An outlet opens to a portion of the central element located at upperstream of the downstream ends of the support elements for returning the fluid flowing through the branch passages to the main passage.
