A ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic sintered compact containing about 35 to 80 volume percent pores and an electrode provided inside the ceramic sintered compact. The pores are filled with resin or glass. This ceramic electronic component is formed by forming a green compact which includes an electrode therein with a ceramic compound having a ceramic raw material, a binder and a spherical or granular combustible material having adhesiveness to the binder. The green compact is fired to form the ceramic sintered compact including the electrode and containing about 35 to 80 volume percent pores. The pores of the ceramic sintered compact are filled with resin or glass.

Ceramic electronic component and method for making the same

A head includes a head chip, having first and second external connection electrodes, for reading a signal from a storage medium and writing a signal on the storage medium, a substrate having the head chip mounted thereon, a hot-side conductor path and a ground-side conductor path each formed on the surface of the substrate and electrically connected to the corresponding external connection electrodes of the head chip, and a chip varistor, mounted on the substrate, having first, second, and third terminal electrodes, the third terminal electrode being connected to the ground. In the head, the hot-side conductor path is divided, and the corresponding conductor parts of ends of the divided hot-side conductor paths are electrically connected to the first and the second terminal electrodes, and the ground-side conductor path is electrically connected to the third terminal electrode of the chip varistor.

Head

A radiant noise inhibiting assembly is constructed to inhibit a radiant noise in an electric cable connected to a digital type electronic device. The electric cable is covered by a substantially cylindrical magnetic structure which is constructed to act as a magnetic shield. A substantially cylindrical electrically conductive structure functioning as an electrostatic shield is disposed on the outside of the magnetic structure. Only a first end of the electrically conductive structure is connected to a ground of the electronic device, which first end is closer to the electronic device than a second end of the electrically conductive structure, which is not grounded. In this way, a portion of the radiant noise which is not completely absorbed by the substantially cylindrical magnetic structure is absorbed by the substantially cylindrical electrically conductive structure, thereby sufficiently inhibiting the radiant noise of the electric cable. Further, a substantially cylindrical case which is constructed to function as an electrically conductive structure and provide a function of an electrostatic shield is used. Thus, attaching such a substantially cylindrical case is the same as attaching an electrically conductive structure.

Radiant noise inhibiting assembly

A soft magnetic core is substantially cylindrical and a linear-shaped coil conductor is inserted through a hole in the central portion of the soft magnetic core. A hard magnetic material sheet has areas which are magnetized in a thickness direction thereof and the areas are arranged in strips so that a magnetization direction of adjacent strips is mutually opposite. The hard magnetic material is wound on the outside surface of the soft magnetic core and is fixed to the soft magnetic core. The direction of the areas formed as strips of the hard magnetic material is substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of the coil conductor.

High-frequency choke coil

An insulated wire with a noise-suppressing function includes a ring-shaped magnetic core, a coated wire inserted into the hole of the ring-shaped magnetic core, and a securing member for securing the ring-shaped magnetic core to the coated wire. The inner diameter of the ring-shaped magnetic core, namely the diameter of the hole, is set smaller than the outer diameter of the coated wire. The coated wire is formed of a pair of parallel conductive wires, a wire-coating member for coating the pair of conductive wires, and a sheath for covering the wire-coating member. The sheath is removed at one end of the coated wire. A part of the conductive wires which is coated only with the wire-coating member is inserted into the hole of the ring-shaped magnetic core.

Insulated wire with noise-suppressing function

An electromagnetic noise absorber has a pair of ferrite cores arranged with open ends of the ferrite cores facing each other. Each of the ferrite cores includes an axial portion, an outer cylindrical portion and a bottom portion and is constructed by coupling an end of the axial portion and an end of the outer cylindrical portion to the bottom portion. A slot is formed in the outer cylindrical portion and the bottom portion of each ferrite core such that the slot extends from the open end of the outer cylindrical portion to the bottom portion. The electromagnetic noise absorber can be easily attached to a signal line by placing the signal line in the slots and turning one of the ferrite cores. Since the signal line are wound around the axial portion of the ferrite cores, the signal line has a high impedance.

Electromagnetic noise absorber

A noise elimination scheme is disclosed which enables the prior established telephones or telephone exchange modules linked thereto to eliminate high-frequency noises as applied from outside portable radiotelephone transceiver units. A choke coil (15) is arranged on a circuit board (2) of a telephone main body (1) at a respective one of several nodes for connection with external communication lines (5). Another choke coil (15) is provided at each interconnection node between the circuit board (2) and signal transmission lines (6) of a telephone handset (10). Respective choke coils (15) have a specific stray capacitance of 0.3 pF or below to insure successful elimination of high frequency noises of at or above 800 MHz.

High-frequency noise elimination for use in telephone systems

A resonator 10 includes a first dielectric substrate 12. An earth electrode 14 is formed almost entirely on one main surface of the first dielectric substrate 12. A first pattern electrode 16 and a first drawing electrode 18 are formed on the other main surface of the first dielectric substrate 12. The first pattern electrode 16 and the first drawing electrode 18 are covered with an insulation layer 20. A second pattern electrode 22 and a second drawing electrode 24 are formed on the insulation layer 20. The second pattern electrode 22 and the second drawing electrode 24 are covered with a protecting layer 26. The earth electrode 14 is covered with a protecting layer 28. The earth electrode 14, the first pattern electrode 16 and the second pattern electrode 22 are connected with each other through a terminal electrode 30a. Terminal electrodes 30b and 30c are connected to the earth electrode 14. A drawing terminal electrode 32 is connected to the first drawing electrode 18 and the second drawing electrode 24.

Resonator with spiral-shaped pattern electrodes

A laminate type LC composite device has a coil connected in series between an input electrode and an output electrode, and a capacitor connected in parallel between the input electrode and the output electrode. Further, a micro coil is connected to the coil in series. The coil has an inductance of L and a stray capacitance of C, and the micro coil has an inductance of L' and a stray capacitance of C'. The inductances L and L', and the stray capacitances C and C' fulfill the conditions: LC&gt;L'C', to thereby increase the high-frequency characteristics and the insertion loss in a high frequency area of the LC composite device.

Laminate type LC composite device having a micro coil

A flexible distribution sheet (11) including a plurality of conductors (13a to 13d) which are formed on an upper surface of a long sheet (12) having flexibility to extend from an end (12a) to another end (12b) thereof. The plurality of conductors (13a to 13d) are made of resistant conductive materials having resistance values within a range of 1 .OMEGA. to 100 k.OMEGA. across the same.

Flexible distribution sheet

A noise filter includes a plurality of resistance patterns arranged in parallel, and a ground pattern opposed to the resistance patterns via a dielectric substrate. Distribution capacitance is caused between the resistance patterns and the ground pattern. The function of the noise filter comes from the distribution capacitance and the resistance of the resistance patterns as the RC composite elements. The noise filters can be connected in plural. Noise can be eliminated without twisting the effective signal components in a compact noise filter.

Noise filter

In a surge absorber, capable of suppressing a voltage surge and a current surge together without interrupting a signal transmission, an input electrode and an output electrode are spaced apart on the surface of a varistor substrate, and a resistance element is connected between the electrodes. A ground electrode is provided on the reverse side of the varistor substrate so as to face the input electrode with the varistor element therebetween. Thereby, a varistor element is formed by the input electrode and the ground electrode where a voltage surge and a current surge can be suppressed by the resistance element, and where a signal waveform is not weakened by capacitance of the varistor element, and ordinary signal transmission is not interrupted.

Surge absorber

A modular jack to be mounted on a circuit board, the modular jack having contactors which will come into contact with a plug and terminals which will be connected with printed wires on the circuit board. The contactors and the terminals are stamped out of a hoop and fixed in a body case of the modular jack. An end of the contactors and an end of the terminals are arranged nearby, and filter elements for eliminating noise are disposed between the nearby ends.

Modular jack

A noise filter of a monolithic type in which a common electrode is formed in a sintered body having varistor characteristics so as to extend from a first portion to a second portion of side surfaces of the sintered body, and at least one through electrode is formed in a position at a height spaced apart from the common electrode through a sintered body layer in the direction of thickness so as to extend from a third portion to a fourth portion of the side surfaces of the sintered body and to intersect the common electrode.

Noise filter comprising a monolithic laminated ceramic varistor

A modular jack incorporating a varistor. The varistor reduces noise and surge (abnormal voltage) entering the modular jack, and thereby an electronic appliance such as a telephone connected with the modular jack is not affected by the noise and surge. The varistor is electrically connected between at least a pair of contact leads. Alternatively the varistor is electrically connected between the pair of contact leads and a grounding terminal. Further, the modular jack incorporates a common mode choke coil so as to obtain a common mode noise reduction effect.
