Apparatus for automatically measuring changing values of absorbance comprise a circular, absorption cell conveying system on which are disposed in order a multitude of absorption cells with samples injected therein, an optical measurement system disposed so that a measuring zone is positioned therewithin, said measuring zone is disposed in a predetermined position of said absorption cell conveying system, a measurement conversion system for encoding a measured value signal output from said optical measurement system with respect to each said absorption cell conducted successively into said measuring zone, a reference conversion system for encoding a reference value signal output from said optical measurement system, a synchronizing command system for generating a synchronizing signal upon sensing of the arrival of each said absorption cell at said measuring zone, and an arithmetic recording system including a microcomputer for inputting in parallel the output signals respectively from said measurement conversion system, reference conversion system and synchronizing command system and calculating a value of change in absorbance of each said absorption cell.

Apparatus for automatically measuring changes in amount of gas comprises a pressure sensor being attached to a closed vessel having a main chamber in which is contained a liquid enzyme or the like and adapted to convert a change in pressure within said vessel into an electric signal and output a measured pressure value signal; a photoelectric sensor adapted to convert an optical change of the liquid enzyme or the like within said closed vessel into an electric signal and output an optical measured value signal; an electrode adapted to come into contact with the liquid enzyme or the like within the vessel to convert a change in conductivity into an electric signal and output a measured conductivity signal; and an arithmetic circuit adapted to input respectively said measured pressure value signal, the measured pressure value signal and said optical measured value signal, and the measured pressure value signal and said measured conductivity signal simultaneously, effect calculations simultaneously in parallel according to a predetermined numerical expression stored in advance and output respective calculation data signals.

Apparatus for automatically measuring changes in amount of gas

Rotary shaking culture measuring method and apparatus characterizes in that culture tubes are disposed radially and at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, and an inclined turntable is disposed at a predetermined angle of inclination with respect to a horizontal reference plane, a central shaft of the inclined turntable serves as a driving shaft whereby a turning motion in a continuous or intermittently indexing form is imparted to the turntable. In addition, the culture tubes revolve along an inclined circular orbit described by such turning motion, and the substance being cultured within the tubes is shaked and cultured by a reciprocative motion of inertial resultant force of centrifugal force and gravity. Furthermore, in a certain position of the turntable the growth of the substance being cultured within all the culture tubes is measured with the lapse of time by a signal obtained at every fixed cycle.
