The present invention relates to a steering handle device for jet-propelled small-sized boats of the type in which: structurally, the stern of the boat is adapted for use as a floor deck on which the rider stands, with an engine mounted on the front portion of the floor deck; a handle post is pivotally connected at its front or lower end to the bow of the boat by a horizontal shaft so that it is swingable; a base board for attaching the handle bar is integrated with the rear or upper end of the handle post overhanging the floor deck, and an attaching plate for the handle bar is pivotally connected to the base board by a vertical shaft; the rider holding the handle bar steers the boat to freely slide over water surface while changing the position at which the foot pressure is applied to the boat; the steering handle device being characterized in that: the handle bar is constructed in a substantially H-shape in a front view consisting of a handle bar body horizontally extending transversely of the boat, and a pair of grips vertically extending from the opposite ends of the handle bar body; the middle portion of the handle body is integrally fixed to the rear end of the attaching plate; mouth pieces each extending through the intermediate portion of the associated grip at right angles and fixed thereto are fitted on the opposite ends of the handle bar body so that they can be removed and refitted thereon for angular adjustment; the tilt angle of each grip with respect to the horizontal plane of the handle bar body can be adjusted by tilting the grip forward or rearward while turning the grip around the horizontal longitudinal axis of the handle bar body during the operation of removing and refitting for adjustment.

The present invention relates to a steering handle device for small jet-propelled boats in which the stern of the boat is used as a floor deck on which the rider stands, and the engine is mounted on the front of the floor deck. A handle post is pivotally connected to the bow of the boat by a horizontal shaft. A base board for attaching the handle bar is integrated with the rear or upper end of the handle post overhanging the floor deck, and an attaching plate for the handle bar is pivotally connected to the base board by a vertical shaft. The rider steers using the handle bar and by changing the position at which he/she applies foot pressure to the boat. The steering handle device is characterized by the handle bar being constructed substantially in a H-shape as seen from a front view. The handle bar assembly consists of a handle bar body horizontally extending transversely of the boat, and a pair of grips vertically extending from the opposite ends of the handle bar body. At least the middle portion of the handle bar body is used as a straight pivot bar portion orthogonal to the vertical shaft. The pivot bar portion is assembled to a grasping bracket and is rotatable around its own longitudinal axis. As such, the tilt angle of the grips is adjustable by the rider.

The invention relates to a steering handle device for jet-propelled small-sized boats on the type in which the operator rides the boat in a standing posture. The invention prevents the operator's body from being twisted around during the turning of the boat to the extent that he is forced to assume an unstable steering posture, and makes it possible to apply the foot pressure resulting from the operator's body weight to the boat body effectively and as desired from the standpoint of human engineering so as to provide the so-called quick steering performance. To this end, the invention provides a steering handle device for jet-propelled small-sized boats, comprising: a base block fixedly installed on the rear upper end of a handle post erected on a boat body, the base block having a pair of handle stays extending integrally therefrom to assume a rearwardly diverging form as seen from above, and handle bars pivotally connected at their respective front ends, by ball joints, to the right and left end regions of a handle bar attaching plate which is pivotally connected to the base block by a vertical shaft, the rear end of each of the handle bars being pivotally connected to the rear end of the associated handle stay by an upright handle grip, the arrangement being such that when the two handle grips are tilted back and forth, the handle bar attaching plate is turned.

A handle device for a jet-propelled small-sized boat wherein a handle post is pivotally connected to the stem of the boat so that it can be tilted around the axis of a transverse shaft and a handle bar is fixed to the upper end of said post by an attaching bracket, the handle device being characterized in that: the attaching bracket is made in two parts, a front bracket and a rear bracket, the front bracket being attached to the handle post and the rear bracket to the handle bar, the position at which the rear bracket is connected to the front bracket being adjustable by sliding the rear bracket longitudinally of the boat. A kit for post-installing reed valves between the cylinder block of a 2-cycle engine of a jet propelled small-sized boat and an inlet manifold is characterized in that the kit comprises base plate, a carburetor plate and a reed valve case interposed between two plates. The base plate is formed with two types of holes, i.e., plain holes through which attaching bolts are screwed into threaded holes in a cylinder block and threaded holes to be used in attaching the reed valve case. The carburetor plate and reed valve case are formed with plain holes, respectively, for alignment communication with the threaded holes in the base plate to receive other bolts. The arrangement is such that the reed valves removably fitted in the reed valve case are inseparably held between the reed valve case and the carburetor plate.
