An organic EL display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a substrate on which a display region including a plurality of pixels including an organic EL layer and an external region that surrounds the display region are formed, at least one separating wall that is formed at a part of the external region on the substrate, and an organic layer that covers at least a part of the display region, includes an organic material, and is formed on a display region side of the at least one separating wall. A wall surface of the display region side of the at least one separating wall includes an inclined surface that is inclined toward the display region side as it is extended away from the substrate.

A display device, which includes a plurality of unit pixels, includes a plurality of first electrodes respectively corresponding to the plurality of unit pixels, an insulating layer which includes a plurality of through holes, a light emitting element layer, and a second electrode. Each of the plurality of through holes have inner surfaces including a forwardly tapered surface, which is inclined in a direction of enlarging the apertures toward a light emitting direction, and a reversely tapered surface, which is inclined in a direction of reducing the apertures toward the light emitting direction. The forwardly tapered surface is formed between the unit pixels arranged side by side in the first direction. The reversely tapered surface is formed between the unit pixels arranged side by side in the second direction.

Display device and method of manufacturing a display device

A display device includes a display panel for displaying a white image; an electrochromic layer stacked on the display panel; a voltage application unit for applying a driving voltage to the electrochromic layer; and a display unit for displaying the white image on the display panel. The electrochromic layer allows a spectrum of light to be transmitted therethrough to be controlled in accordance with the driving voltage applied thereto; and the voltage application unit controls the driving voltage to be applied to the electrochromic layer in synchronization with display of the image on the display panel by the display unit, thus to control the spectrum of the light to be transmitted through the electrochromic layer.

Increase in resolution of an organic EL display panel is made achievable with a relatively simple process. An emissive layer of an OLED is formed by stacking an R emissive layer, a G emissive layer, and a B emissive layer corresponding to an R color, a G color, and a B color. The glass-transition temperatures T, T, and Tof the R emissive layer, the G emissive layer, and the B emissive layer are set to satisfy T&#x3c;T&#x3c;T. Due to laser irradiation, the G pixel is selectively annealed at an annealing temperature Tsatisfying T&#x3c;T&#x3c;Tto make the R emissive layer of the G pixel lose an emission function. A turntable can be manufactured inexpensively using a comparatively inexpensive material and in accordance with ordinary injection molding technique and mold management. A thin-walled cylindrical fixing portion having an insertion hole, into which a rotational shaft is pressed, is formed at a central portion of the turntable. A thin-walled cylindrical reinforcing portion, which is concentric with the fixing portion and has a large diameter, is formed at the outer circumferential side of the fixing portion. Reinforcing rib portions are provided radially between the fixing portion and the reinforcing portion. In this way, deformation due to sink or the like does not occur at the time of injection molding, and extracting force of the rotational shaft which was pressed into the insertion hole can be adjusted to a predetermined value.
