An electric-field blocking film is provided between a BL insulation film and BL insulation film of a transistor, and a blocking film includes those three layers. The electric-field blocking film blocks an electric field produced by a drain electrode, a source electrode, and an n-Si film. Even if misalignment of the drain electrode, the source electrode, and the n-Si film in each drive transistor varies to make a portion overlying an i-Si film larger, therefore, the electric field at this portion is blocked by the electric-field blocking film, thereby making a variation in characteristic smaller.

A striker designed to strike or be swung for playing music is provided with a musical sound-initiating command signal-generating device including switching members. When the striker strikes or swings, the switching members perform a switching action which triggers the transmitting of a musical sound-initiating command signal from the musical sound-initiating command signal-generating device. A desired musical sound is produced by a musical sound producing unit in response to the musical sound-initiating command signal. An image formed by an arbitrary method, can be reproduced on an object (to which image transfer is performed) having a three-dimensional arcuated surface, e.g., a cylindrical object. An original plate sheet is prepared by forming an image on a transparent sheet by using an ink containing carbon. A transfer ink sheet having a hot-melt ink layer formed on its one surface and a reflecting layer formed on its other surface is placed on an object to which image transfer is performed. A cushion member having transparency is placed on the transfer ink sheet, and a transparent plate is stacked on the cushion member. When the transparent plate is urged against the object side, the cushion member is compressed. As a result, the original plate sheet is deformed along the outer surface shape of the object and is brought into tight contact therewith. A flash lamp is turned on in this state. An image portion absorbs infrared rays emitted from the flash to generate heat. Light radiated on portions other than the image portion is reflected by the reflecting layer. For this reason, only a portion of the hot-melt ink layer corresponding to the image portion is melted and is transferred onto the object. A string member and a string trigger switch mechanism associated with the string member are arranged on an instrument main body. The string member is extended on the instrument main body at a given tension. When the string member is deviated against the tension upon a string displace operation and is then released from its state of tension, a string trigger switch starts a switching operation. While the string member is displaced from its state of rest, the string trigger switch does not start a switching operation. The string trigger switch outputs a tone generation start instruction signal based on the switching operation, and this signal causes a musical tone generating apparatus to start generation of a musical tone. When the string member is plucked while depressing a pitch designating section arranged on the instrument main body, a musical tone at a selectively designated pitch is generated. A plucking force or a plucking speed is detected by a touch response detecting section, and characteristics of a generated musical tone are controlled accordingly.
