A bleeder plug is provided with a bleeder body having a nipple portion and a threaded portion and being provided with a through hole extending from the nipple portion-side end to the threaded portion-side end; a seat pin having a press fitting portion to be press-fitted in an opening of the through hole at the threaded portion-side in the bleeder body and a seat portion blocking a bleeder hole, and a groove formed in a contact surface between the bleeder body and the seat pin and communicating the opening of the through hole at the nipple portion-side with an outside space via the contact surface.

Drum-in disc brake

A drum brake device produces a stable braking force at a predetermined boosting ratio in response to a brake operation force input thereto, even if the friction characteristics of the interface of the brake drum and the brake shoe varies, without increasing the size of the wheel cylinder. The drum brake device includes an input detector that detects a hydraulic braking pressure output from a master cylinder, and produces a signal representative of the detected hydraulic braking pressure as an input force to the drum brake device; an output detector that detects an anchor reaction force generated at the time of braking and produces a signal representative of the detected anchor reaction force as an output force of the drum brake device; electromagnetic valves capable of controlling the supply of a hydraulic braking pressure supplied from the master cylinder to a wheel cylinder; and a control circuit that controls the operations of the electromagnetic valves in accordance with output signals of the input detector and the output detector so that the output force is limited to a force equal to or smaller than a force defined by a predetermined boosting ratio.

Drum brake device

A disc brake comprises pads, a support member, elastic members, and a caliper. The pads include first engaging portions having first slanted surfaces with a first distance therebetween. The support member straddles the rotor and is supported on a body. The support member includes a pair of second engaging portions having second slanted surfaces. The second slanted surfaces have a second distance therebetween. The elastic member, disposed on the pads, presses the pads in a direction which shortens a third width defined by an adjacent pair of the first and second slanted surfaces, respectively. The first and second distances change gradually along the first and second slanted surfaces. Engaging protrusions are provided to one of the pairs of the first and second engaging portions, each including a first width. Engaging grooves are provided to the other of the pairs of the first and second engaging portions, each including a second width.

Disc brake

The powder paint feeder for powder coating directly is installed to a powder paint tank of a fluidized bed type. In the powder paint feeder, a cylindrical screw casing is inserted into the powder paint tank and fixed thereto and has an introducing port into which the powder paint fluidized in the powder paint tank is introduced and a discharging port through which the powder paint dispersed externally of the powder paint tank is discharged. A screw is accommodated in the screw casing and feeds the powder paint introduced from the introducing port to the discharging port while compacting it. A deaerating device is disposed to the screw casing and deaerates the fluidized powder paint to accelerate the compaction of the powder paint. A dispersing blade is mounted on the rotational shaft of the screw in the vicinity of the discharging port downstream of the screw for dispersing the compacted powder paint. A driving device rotates the rotational shaft of the screw. The powder paint feeder for powder coating is less expensive and arranged such that it can feed the powder paint with an excellent constant quantity feeding property without being affected by the powder level in a tank and can be washed easily and efficiently.

Disclosed is a drum brake device in which during a service brake application, a pair of brake shoes operates in a leading/trailing mode, and during a parking brake application, a parking brake mechanism operates to cause the brake shoes to operate in the duo servo mode. A first lever, an equalizer and a second lever, which make up the parking brake mechanism, are all assembled onto one of the brake shoes. The second lever includes an input portion, a lever contact portion and an equalizer contact portion. The input portion receives a force from a parking lever. The lever contact portion applies a turning force to the first lever. The equalizer contact portion applies a turning force to the equalizer. The second lever, when it is turned, turns the first lever and then the equalizer.

A slide guide mechanism consisting of guide holes and guide pins inserted into the guide holes, is used to mount a caliper on a support member, which is attached to a vehicle, such that the caliper is able to move in the axial direction of a rotor. The caliper has a fluid pressure means pressing an inner pad and an outer pad against the rotor during braking. Braking torque generated by the inner pad is transmitted to the support member. Braking torque generated by the outer pad is transmitted to the support member through the caliper and the slide guide mechanism. The main guide pin 16 is located at a position from where a gap from the guide hole of the slide guide mechanism is smaller, the guide hole for the main guide pin 16 is long enough to cross over the rotor and reach the outer pad, and the main guide pin 16 is located on the rotor run-out side. Moreover, the positions of the guide pins are located in a radial direction of the rotor, beyond the location where the outer pad is attached to the caliper.

A brake bonding apparatus in which brake linings are positioned between a loop-like pressure-imposing band and a pair of brake shoes, which are disposed at opposite locations on the inner side of the band, and pressure-bonded to the brake shoes by expanding in opposite direction an expanding member which is urged by springs. The pressure-imposing band is provided with rigid strips at two circumferential locations for positioning itself in a predetermined position and is formed in substantially eliptic shape. The expanding member is arranged not to hold the rib in sandwich relation, but merely to abut the end portions thereof.

A caliper machining apparatus for machining a caliper for a disc brake is disclosed which comprises: a cutter for cutting the caliper, a facing mechanism for positioning and facing the cutter relative to the caliper, and a caliper holding jig. The jig supports the caliper at several surfaces for machining by the cutter. The facing mechanism includes a hollow rotary spindle, a facing head fixed to the rotary spindle, a slider movable only in a diametric direction of the facing head, and slidingly moved in eccentric relation with a rotary center of the rotary spindle and a facing shaft passing through the rotary spindle. The facing shaft is allowed to rotate with the rotary spindle but to be displaceable in an axial direction relative to the rotary spindle. The rotary spindle is rotated by a main motor. The facing shaft is moved in the axial direction by the rotation of a facing motor.
