A drive device includes a motor, a control unit, a connector unit, a cover, and a seal member. The control unit is arranged coaxially with the motor and configured to control a drive of the motor. The connector unit connects the control unit to an external connector. The cover is a member separate from the connector unit and covers the control unit. The seal member is provided between the connector unit and the cover.

Drive device

A connector portion includes a first system connector that holds a first system terminal and a second system connector that holds a second system terminal. An insertion/removal direction of the first system connector and the second system connector are the same as an axial direction of a motor. The first system connector and the second system connector are arranged close to each other such that the long length directions of the frontages of the connectors are aligned, and that the interval between the connectors is smaller than the width in the short length direction of both connectors. The connectors have protrusions that project in a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the connectors are arranged.

Drive device and drive unit

A drive device includes a motor having two sets of winding wires, a controller coaxially disposed with the motor for controlling the motor, and a connector for connecting the controller to an external connector. The controller has a first system control unit for controlling power supplied to one set of winding wires and a second system control unit for controlling power supplied to the other set of winding wires. The connector has a first positive electrode terminal and a first negative electrode terminal for power supplied to the first system control unit, and a second positive electrode terminal and a second negative electrode terminal for power supplied to the second system control unit. A portion of a planar face of the first positive electrode terminal is positioned to overlap a portion of a planar face of the first negative electrode terminal, and a portion of a planar face of the second positive electrode terminal is positioned to overlap a portion of a planar face of the second negative electrode terminal.
