The present invention provides a permanent-magnet-synchronous-motor having a stator with concentrated windings with the following structure so that permanent magnet () is hard to subjected to demagnetization magnetic field: 0.3 Lg&#x3c;La&#x2266;2.0 Lg, where La is a clearance between teeth of stator (), and Lg is an air-gap between stator () and rotor (). Outer walls of both ends of the permanent magnet () disposed within rotor () in a rim direction may be tapered toward inside from a rotor rim in a radial direction and to form a recessed section on the outer walls of the magnets. As a result, withstanding force against demagnetization is expected to increase.

A linear motor includes tubular outer yoke (), tubular inner yoke () disposed in outer yoke (), coil () provided to inner yoke (), permanent magnet () vibrating following a magnetic flux produced by coil (), and vibrator () made of magnetic material and supporting permanent magnets (). Magnetic loop produced by outer yoke () and inner yoke () travels through vibrator () free from interference by vibrator () because vibrator () is made of magnetic material. As a result, the linear motor vibrates efficiently.

Linear motor

The invention relates to a motor comprising a stator core having plural teeth and slots provided among the teeth, a winding applied on the teeth by a single turn, and a rotor incorporating plural permanent magnets, which is rotated and driven by utilizing reluctance torque in addition to magnet torque. By turning thus divided teeth by a single winding, the occupation rate of the winding in the slots can be raised. As a result, a motor of small size and large output can be presented.

A motor and a method for manufacturing thereof use a rotor having permanent magnets and stators. The highest revolving speed of a motor is adjusted by using end plates of different thickness. The end plates are made of a magnetic material and disposed at the end faces of the rotor. The end plates made of a magnetic material provide part of the magnetic flux generated from the permanent magnets with short circuits within the inside of the rotor. The magnetic flux that links with the coil can be adjusted by using end plates of different thickness. Therefore, the highest revolving speed of a motor can be finely adjusted with ease.

Each tooth is separated from an adjacent tooth by a slot-open-section extending between a tailing end of the tooth and a leading end of the adjacent tooth. The inner wall surface of each tooth has an arc extending from a center of the slot-open-section toward the tailing end. The air-gap at the tailing end of each tooth is greater than the air-gap at the leading end of each tooth. The inner wall surface of each tooth includes a straight-line tailing section extending from the center of the slot-open-section toward the leading end. The straight-line tailing section extends tangentially from the arc.
