A network controller is configured to perform, to a new slice request, resource allocation from a resource of unallocated resource information managed by a resource information management unit, and to reallocate the resource to an existing slice request so that an unallocated resource increases based on unallocated resource information managed by the resource information management unit.

Network controller

A management device for managing a radio access network includes: a RAN slice management unit configured to manage a slice of the radio access network; a radio resource management unit configured to abstract and manage a radio resource possessed by a radio base station included in a radio network; an optical resource management unit configured to abstract and manage an optical resource possessed by an optical communication device included in an optical network; and a base station resource management unit configured to abstract and manage a base station resource possessed by a base station device included in a base station network. When a slice generation request is received from a higher-level management device, the RAN slice management unit determines an abstracted radio resource, an abstracted optical resource and an abstracted base station resource to be assigned to a slice, based on requested performance of the slice.

Management device for managing a radio access network

A controller of a radio access network calculates physical path resource information which is resource information about physical paths between devices in the network, and abstract path resource information which expresses the physical path resource information in a representative manner. When receiving a request to create a slice, the controller determines whether a slice that satisfies a requested condition is creatable based on the abstract path resource information and, when determining that the slice that satisfies the requested condition can be created, creates the slice by selecting a physical path that satisfies the requested condition based on the physical path resource information.

An optical line terminal (OLT) for an optical network configured to communicate with optical network units (ONUs) in a PON-type optical network, the OLT including: a processing circuitry, for each ONUs, to manage a transmission delay time in transmission to the ONU to manage an acceptable waiting time of uplink data of the ONU; to obtain an uplink transmission start time and data amount of the optical network unit, based on uplink assignment information; and to generate uplink transmission grant information, which is made up of a time point and time length of uplink transmission to the ONU, wherein the processing circuitry determines the uplink transmission grant information on transmission to the ONU, based on a transmission delay time of the ONU, on the uplink transmission start time and data amount of the ONU, and on the acceptable waiting time of uplink data of the ONU.

Optical line terminal of optical network and uplink scheduling method

A communication method of an optical communication system in which a user-side optical-line terminal apparatus (ONU) is connected to a station-side optical-line terminal apparatus (OLT) by an optical fiber includes allocating by the OLT to the ONY a transmission bandwidth for transmitting a response signal in a tentative wake-up period in a sleep mode in which a transmission function of the ONU is activated in the tentative wake-up period and deactivated in a sleep period. The method also includes transmitting a transmission bandwidth notification to the ONU, and transmitting, to the ONU, a notification of the sleep period in which deactivation of the transmission function is allowed.

Communication method, optical communication system, station-side optical-line terminal apparatus, and user-side optical-line terminal apparatus

A logical-link management method to be executed in an optical communication system including a station side device (OLT) and a subscriber side device (ONU) that is capable of setting a plurality of logical links together with the OLT, in which the OLT transmits a signal for managing the ONU via a single logical link. The logical-link management method includes a status monitoring of the OLT monitoring whether there is a change in a connection status of the logical link between the OLT and the ONU and a link resetting of the OLT resetting, when a change of the connection status of the logical link is detected at the status monitoring, a device management logical link used for transmitting the signal for managing the ONU according to a predetermined procedure.

Logical-link management method and communication device

A communication method of an optical communication system in which a plurality of ONUs are connected to an OLT, includes steps (a) allocating, by the OLT, a transmission bandwidth to an ONU capable of an operation in a sleep mode in which an optical transmitter is tentatively halted for a predetermined sleep period, and transmitting a transmission bandwidth notification to the ONU when the ONU is in the sleep mode and when the ONU is not in the sleep mode; (b) receiving, from the ONU to which the transmission bandwidth is allocated, a response signal when the ONU is not in the sleep mode, wherein the response signal is or is not received during the sleep mode; and (c) suppressing, by the OLT, an alarm in the sleep mode, the alarm being caused by a communication failure with the ONU on a basis of the response signal not being received.

A low temperature waste crushing system including a low temperature freezing section for cooling waste material below the cold shortness transition temperature by receiving a supply of refrigeration from a heat sink, and a crushing section for crushing the material cooled in the low temperature freezing section by taking advantage of cold shortness. The low temperature freezing section is configured in dual steps, the preceding step being supplied with the higher temperature refrigeration of the first refrigerating cycle and the succeeding step being supplied with the lower temperature refrigeration of the second refrigerating cycle. The heat sink is configured in a binary refrigeration cycle including a first cycle of ammonia refrigerant for obtaining the first refrigeration temperature, which is higher that the cold shortness transition temperature; and a second cycle of hydrocarbon refrigerant for obtaining a second refrigeration temperature, which is lower in temperature that the cold shortness transition temperature. The device is able to reduce the burden to the environment in comparison with prior art cooling systems.

Low temperature waste crushing system taking advantage of cold shortness

The invention provides a test system of a fault detecting means, in which, during a normal operation, a fault forcibly generating circuit lets a transmission path signal inputted from the outside pass through as it is, generates a test signal which is the same as that of the transmission path signal, and outputs it to a fault detecting circuit. During a time of testing, the fault forcibly generating circuit outputs 'Low' level of the test signal forcibly to the fault detecting circuit, according to a test control signal outputted from a control portion. When the fault detecting circuit detects this test signal, an step-out alarm is generated and transmitted to the control portion. The control portion monitors the step-out alarm from the fault detecting circuit. The control portion judges the operation to be normal if the step-out alarm is outputted, and to be abnormal if the step-out alarm is not outputted under the condition that the step-out alarm is not outputted at the time of non-testing.
