An IOT controller of an image formation device is provided with an NvRAM. Correction coefficients relating to various parameters, which are specified for each of paper types in advance, are stored in the NvRAM. The NvRAM is provided with a user setting region, and when it is desired to form an image at an unusual paper, parameters of this paper can be inputted by operation of a control panel. When image formation is to be implemented, the IOT controller, after selection of a paper type at the control panel, reads out correction coefficients of the parameters relating to the selected paper type from the NvRAM, implements transfer processing in accordance with these correction coefficients, and forms a high-quality image.

The image forming apparatus has an intermediate transfer belt for carrying a toner image visualized by a toner, a transfer roll pressed against the intermediate transfer belt, and a cleaning brush that is rotatable in contact with the transfer roll. This transfer roll acts to transfer the toner image carried on the belt to paper. The cleaning brush makes contact with the transfer roll to stir the toner adhering to the transfer roll.

The contact pressure between the rollers and the endless belt are biased in the opposite direction to the meandering direction of the endless belt by the meandering adjusting means, thereby being able to correct the meandering of the endless belt.

A transfer drum includes a pair of annular frames, a coupling member for coupling the annular frames, and a transfer material holding member being wrapped around the annular frames. In the transfer drum, the coupling member is attached so that a top face of a main body, other than attachment ends of the coupling member, is positioned relative to the annular frames to be lower than outer peripheral surfaces of the annular frames. The transfer material holding member has ends in a circumferential direction overlapped on and bonded to each other and ends in an axial direction stuck to the outer peripheral surfaces of the annular frames.
