A photopolymerizable composition comprising: (a) a compound obtained by reacting one mole of a polyamine represented by the following general formula (I) with at least 2 moles of a compound having a group capable of reacting with the polyamine and a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated group: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of not less than 1 and (b) a photopolymerization initiator. A dry PS plate comprises a substrate provided thereon with, in order, a light-sensitive resin layer and a silicone rubber layer wherein the light-sensitive resin layer comprises the photopolymerizable composition and a polymeric compound having film-forming ability. The photopolymerizable composition and the dry PS plate have very high sensitivity.

A water-less PS plate for use in making a water-less lithographic printing plate comprises, on a substrate, a photopolymerizable light-sensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer in this order, wherein the light-sensitive layer is formed from a photopolymerizable light-sensitive composition which contains an urea bond-containing polyurethane as a binder. According to the present invention, there is obtained a water-less PS plate having good resistance to scratch and high printing durability. Moreover, the resulting light-sensitive layer does not get sticky, the light-sensitive layer of the non-image portions is not peeled off during the printing operations, and the lithographic plate shows good dyeability and plate-examination property.

A light-sensitive composition is herein disclosed, which comprises at least one free radical generator represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## and at least one discoloring agent which interacts with products generated through the photolytic degradation of the free radical generator to change the color tone of the composition. The composition has a high stability with time and a good printing out property and therefore it can be used in making light-sensitive layer of PS plates, photoresists, proof plates for printing and films for overhead projector, intermediate print and photomask having high sensitivity long shelf life.

A dry PS plate comprises a substrate provided thereon with in order a primer layer, a light-sensitive layer and a silicone rubber layer wherein the primer layer comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of those having urethane or/and urea bonds and is adhered to the substrate with a functional group containing silane coupling agent represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein n is an integer ranging from 1 to 3; X represents an alkyl group, a vinyl group or an organic group having a functional group showing affinity to or capable of being bonded to the compound included in the primer layer; R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and Y represents an organic group which generates a hydroxyl group through hydrolysis or a hydroxyl group. In the dry PS plate, the adhesion strength between the substrate and the light-sensitive layer is substantially improved, the adhesion is surely maintained even after imagewise exposure to light and the subsequent development. The dry PS plate shows excellent image reproduction and the resulting dry lithographic plate is excellent in printing durability as well as resistance to scratch.

A light-sensitive composition is herein disclosed, which comprises at least one light-sensitive s-triazine compound represented by the following general formula (I) and at least one compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond and capable of causing addition polymerization: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently represent hdyrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group, or a group represented by the general formula: R.sub.5 --CO-- or N(R.sub.6) (R.sub.7)--CO-- (wherein R.sub.5 stands for a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group; and R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 independently represent hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group), provided that R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may form a heterocyclic ring consisting of non-metallic atoms together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent hydrogen, a halogen, an alkyl or an alkoxyl; X and Y independently represent chlorine or bromine; and m and n are 0, 1 or 2. The light-sensitive composition has high sensitivity even after storing at a high temperature and effectively used for producing light-sensitive plates for making lithographic printing plates; proof plates for printing; films for overhead projector, intermediate print and photomasks; and photoresists.

A light-sensitive composition containing a polymerizable compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated group, and a photopolymerization initiator of general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Y represents --COOR.sub.1, ##STR2## --R.sub.3 --COOR.sub.1, --R.sub.3 --CONHR.sub.1 or --NHCO--R.sub.4 (wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group; R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R.sub.3 represents an alkylene group; R.sub.4 represents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group; and l and m respectively represents integers of 1 to 10.); Ar represents a phenylene, naphthylene or heterocyclic aromatic group; X represents a chlorine atom or a bromine atom; and n represents 1 or 2. The light-sensitive composition has a good stability over time since crystallization of the photopolymerization initiator on the surface of the light-sensitive layer is inhibited.
