A feeder including: a feeder main body with a supply position, the feeder being configured to supply an electronic component from an electronic component housing section that houses many of the electronic components one by one to the supply position; and a handle attached to an upper surface of the feeder main body, the handle being made from a flexible strip member so as to be able to change shape.

Feeder

A tape curving attachments is provided with tape curving sections configured to curve component storage tape wound around a reel, the component storage tape being carrier tape with cavities in which components are stored and top tape attached to an upper surface of the carrier tape, such that the top tape side of the component storage tape has a smaller radius of curvature than the carrier tape side of the component storage tape, the tape curving attachment being attached to a feeder that pitch feeds the component storage tape from the reel.

A one-directional clutch that only allows rotation in the forward direction, that is the cover tape pulling direction, is provided between, of two cover tape pulling gears, the lower side cover tape pulling gear and shaft thereof, such that reverse rotation of cover tape pulling gears is prevented by the one-directional clutch. For the engaging portion of the one-directional clutch and cover tape pulling gear, the friction of the engaging portion of the one-directional clutch and the cover tape pulling gear is adjusted such that the cover tape pulling gear slip rotates in the reverse direction when a specified rotational force or greater in the reverse direction that is greater than the force required to peel the cover tape is applied to the cover tape pulling gear.

Tape feeder

A tape feeder is configured such that plural tape suppliers guiding plural component supply tapes to a component pick-up position are individually and detachably mounted on plural slots of the feeder body. A read component ID from a code label of a tape reel is input into a feeder management computer. The feeder management computer performs instruction display of the slot to be mounted among the plural slots to an instruction display section based on component ID. If a mounting confirmation sensor confirms the tape supplier is mounted on one of the slots, the feeder management computer determines whether or not a component in which the component ID is read is supplied from a correct slot depending on whether or not the slot in which the mounting of the tape supplier is confirmed matches the slot in which the instruction display is performed.

Feeder management system of component mounting apparatus

A plurality of tape feeders are held by a feeder holding device in a state in which component supply portions of the respective tape feeders are arranged in a plurality of rows each extending along a plurality of straight lines parallel to each other in one plane. Each of the plurality of tape feeders is separable into first portions and second portions, the first portions include: a reel holding portion configured to hold a reel on which a taped component is wound; the component supply portion; a taped-component guide portion configured to guide, to the component supply portion, the taped component drawn from the reel, the second portions respectively including taped-component feeding devices each for feeding the taped component to the component supply portion.

Electronic-circuit-component supplying device

Scissors for cutting off a part delivery tape are disclosed. The part delivery tape includes a carrier tape with recesses at predetermined intervals where the recesses include openings on an upper end for accommodating parts, and a top tape adhered to the upper surface of the carrier tape so as to cover the openings of the recess portions. The scissors include a blade member and an abutment member rotatably mounted on a pivot. The blade member includes first and second blades and a grip, the blades and grip at opposite sides of the pivot. The abutment member includes an abutting portion and a grip at opposite sides of the pivot. In the cutting position the first blade is arranged to have a clearance between the first blade and the abutting portion equal to the thickness of the top tape.

Method for connecting component delivery tapes, structure of the connection, and scissors for component delivery tape, used for the connection method

A component-holding-tape connecting apparatus for connecting two component holding tapes through a connecting member, by caulking end portions of the respective two component holding tapes and the connecting member in a caulking position. The apparatus includes: (a) a supplying device supplying the connecting members to the caulking position; (b) a holding device holding, in the caulking position, the end portions of the respective two component holding tapes and the connecting member which is supplied by the supplying device; and (c) a caulking device caulking the end portions of the respective two component holding tapes and the connecting member which are held by the holding device, by causing caulking claws of the connecting member, to pierce through each the end portions of the respective two component holding tapes, and deforming the caulking claws. The supplying device includes a rotary body positioning the connecting members one by one in a predetermined position.

Component holding tape connecting apparatus

An electric-component feeder for feeding a carrier tape carrying electric components at a predetermined component-carry pitch, at a tape-feed pitch equal to a quotient obtained by dividing the component-carry pitch by an integral number, and thereby supplying the electric components, one by one, the feeder including a main frame including a tape guide which guides the carrier tape in a lengthwise direction thereof; a cam which has a cam surface and which is provided on the main frame such that the cam surface is movable relative to the main frame; a cam drive device which is supported by the main frame and which drives the cam and thereby moves the cam surface relative to the main frame; a cam follower which is supported by the main frame and which follows the cam surface while being moved by the cam surface being moved by the cam drive device; and a motion converting device which is supported by the main frame and which converts the motion of the cam follower into the feeding of the carrier tape at the tape-feed pitch along the tape guide of the main frame.

Electric-component feeder

An electric-component supplying unit for feeding an electric-component tape which includes a carrier tape and holds a plurality of electric components at a predetermined pitch in a lengthwise direction of the carrier tape, and supplying the electric components, one by one, from the electric-component tape, the supplying unit including a frame including a tape-guide portion which guides the electric-component tape, a feeding device which feeds, in the lengthwise direction, the electric-component tape being guided by the tape-guide portion, and positions the electric components, one by one, at a component-supply position, and the frame comprising a main frame member, and at least one tape-guide member which is detachably attached to the main frame member and provides the tape-guide portion.

Electric-component supplying unit

An apparatus for feeding an electric-component tape which includes a carrier tape having feed holes in its lengthwise direction and which holds electric components at a predetermined pitch in the lengthwise direction, the apparatus including a drive device, two pivotable members which are reciprocatively pivotable about a common axis line, a motion converting device which converts the motion of the drive device into the respective reciprocative pivotal motions of the two pivotable members, such that when one of the two pivotable members is pivoted in one of opposite directions about the common axis line, the other pivotable member is pivoted in the other direction and, vice versa, a feed member having projections projecting outward from its circulateable circumferential surface to engage the feed holes of the carrier tape, and two one-way transmitting devices one of which transmits the pivotal motion of the one pivotable member in the one direction, to the feed member, but does not transmit the pivotal motion of the one pivotable member in the other direction, and the other of which transmits the pivotal motion of the other pivotable member in the one direction, to the feed member, but does not transmit the pivotal motion of the other pivotable member in the other direction.

A cover-tape feeding apparatus for feeding a peeled portion of a cover tape of a carrier tape which includes an accommodating tape having, at a predetermined pocket pitch, pockets accommodating electric components, respectively, and the cover tape attached to the accommodating tape to close the pockets, and which is fed in a lengthwise direction thereof at a carrier-tape-feed pitch equal to a quotient obtained by dividing the pocket pitch by an integral number, the apparatus including a conveying belt which is endlessly wound on at least two pulleys and at least a portion of which supports the peeled portion of the cover tape; a reciprocative member which is reciprocated forward and backward in opposite directions substantially parallel to the portion of the conveying belt; and a pinching device including a pair of pinching members at least one of which is provided on the reciprocative member, the one pinching member cooperating, when the reciprocative member is moved forward, with the other pinching member to pinch the portion of the conveying belt and the peeled portion of the cover tape supported by the portion of the belt and feed the peeled portion of the cover tape and the portion of the conveying belt and, when the reciprocative member is moved backward, being moved relative to the fed portion of the cover tape and the fed portion of the conveying belt.

Feeding apparatus

A cartridge for supplying a carrier tape which carries a plurality of electronic components, the tape having a plurality of pockets for accommodating the respective components, and a pair of side portions on both sides of the pockets, the pockets projecting downward from the side portions, the cartridge including a cartridge frame, a tape feeding device mounted on the cartridge frame, for feeding the carrier tape in a feeding direction, a pair of rails provided on the cartridge frame such that the rails extend parallel to the feeding direction, the pair of rails supporting the pair of the portions of the carrier tape, respectively, and permitting movement of the pockets of the tape when the tape is fed on the rails by the tape feeding device, a tape positioning device which positions the carrier tape with respect to a lateral direction in which the pair of side portions of the tape are spaced from each other, and a rail adjusting device which adjusts a spacing between the pair of rails to each of a plurality of different values.
