A compact washing machine capable of improving detergency or reducing a washing time is provided. A washing machine and a driver (e.g., a drive unit) suitable for the washing machine are provided. The driver includes a motor to rotate a shaft supported by a unit base, and a reducer interposed between the shaft and the motor. The motor and the reducer are integrally formed to be aligned in a line along a direction perpendicular to a rotation axis.

A washing machine capable of independently driving two rotors using one inverter in a simple configuration without supplying a composite current includes an outer rotor having a plurality of switching magnets arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction, and an inner rotor having a plurality of stationary magnets arranged to be radially arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction. When a magnetizing current is supplied to the coil of the stator, the magnetic pole of the switching magnet is inverted and the number of the poles of the outer rotor is switched.

The washing machine includes a housing provided with an inlet for laundry disposed on a front surface thereof, a water tub provided inside of the housing and configured to store water, a drum rotatably provided inside of the water tub, a pulsator provided inside of the drum and configured to be rotated independently of the drum, a motor provided with a stator, and a first and second rotor connected to the drum and the pulsator, respectively, and at least one processor configured to apply a q-axis current to the stator to rotate the second rotor and configured to apply a d-axis current to the stator to rotate the first rotor based on a phase difference between the first rotor and the second rotor.

Washing machine and control method of the same

The present disclosure includes a washing machine including an inner rotor and an outer rotor. An outer rotor and an inner rotor may be rotated in a synchronous rotation mode or a counter rotation mode by converting the number of magnetic poles of the outer rotor. When the outer rotor becomes inoperable when the outer rotor is set to the number of magnetic poles for performing the counter rotation mode, it is converted to the number of magnetic poles for performing the synchronous rotation mode while the outer rotor is stopped.

Provided is a high-powered low profile motor. The motor includes a stator () facing a rotor () while having a gap from the rotor (). The stator () includes a ring-shaped connection core () formed by connecting a plurality of divided cores () and an insulator () formed as if surrounding the connection core () by resin molding by an insertion forming. An inner diameter (r) of the connection core () is set smaller than inner diameters (R) of the divided cores () bent in a half moon shape when connected.

Motor with stiffened stator core, manufacturing method thereof, and washing machine including the motor

Disclosed herein is a brushless motor that is simply constructed based on a vernier type motor to achieve high torque without the increase in size and complication thereof. The brushless motor includes a rotor having magnetized surfaces alternately magnetized as N and S poles and a stator having salient poles. The salient poles have tip end surfaces opposite to the magnetized surfaces in the radial direction. Grooves and protrusions are alternately formed at the tip end surfaces of the salient poles in the rotational direction. The grooves and the protrusions extend in the axial direction and have a width in the rotational direction approximately equal to that of the N pole or the S pole. Magnetic bodies are disposed in gaps defined between the grooves and the magnetized surfaces in a non-contact fashion. A magnetic connection member is spaced apart from the stator to interconnect the magnetic bodies.
