Separating partition walls, demarcating regions forming adjacently color conversion layers having different chromaticities that are stacked and arranged by an inkjet method, have at least one incision in tip faces of both length-direction end portions extended outside the screen region. A color conversion filter panel can be provided having separating partition wall structures which, when forming color conversion layers using an inkjet method, can prevent color mixing of inks between adjacent color conversion layers at length-direction end portions of the separating partition walls.

A color conversion type organic EL display can comprise an organic EL substrate that includes a substrate, a lower reflective electrode, a bank, and an organic EL layer sandwiched between the lower reflective electrode and an upper transparent electrode. The color conversion type organic EL display can further comprise a color filter substrate in which a black matrix and a color filter are formed in a pattern on a transparent substrate by a photo process, and which has a pixel region separated by the black matrix. The organic EL substrate and the color filter substrate can be bonded together and positioned such that the pixel region of the EL substrate and the pixel region of the color filter substrate are opposed.

An organic EL display includes an organic EL device comprising lower electrodes, upper electrodes and an organic EL layer therebetween, and color-converting filter layers that absorb light emitted from the organic EL device and carry out color conversion, a layer having a color filter function of transmitting only the color of the light emitted from the organic EL device is provided between the color-converting filter layers and the organic EL device, whereby there is provided an organic EL display that has good display quality, with a high contrast ratio under illumination with a fluorescent lamp, sunlight or the like.

A color conversion filter substrate includes a transparent support substrate, one or more types of color conversion layers with a thickness more than 5 &#x3bc;m formed on the support substrate in a desired pattern, and a protective layer formed of a transparent material for covering the support substrate and the color conversion layers and having a flat surface. After a display is produced, the color conversion pattern layers contain unsaturated functional groups at a concentration equal to or less than 1.4&#xd7;10mol/g.

In the case of a top emission structure color organic EL display in which are bonded together a substrate having thin film transistors formed thereon and a transparent substrate having color-converting filters formed thereon, an overcoat layer for adjusting the gap between the substrates and an overcoat layer for relieving stress are formed between the substrates without providing a space between the overcoat layers and the EL device, whereby there can be provided an organic EL display having high reliability, with the occurrence of voids that would have an adverse effect on the display performance being prevented, and the occurrence of thermal and mechanical stress being suppressed.

Color conversion filter substrate and organic multicolor light emitting device

An organic EL display is formed by preparing an organic EL device substrate, and a combination of a transparent substrate and color conversion filter layers. An overcoat layer with a pillar is formed in a pillar mold formed by a stripping layer and a temporary substrate, and is adhered to the combination of the transparent substrate and the color conversion filter layer while curing the overcoat layer with the pillar at a predetermined temperature. The stripping layer is removed to detach the temporary substrate from the overcoat layer with the pillar. Finally, the overcoat layer with the pillar attached to the combination of the transparent substrate and the color conversion filter layers is attached to the organic EL device substrate.

Method of manufacturing organic EL display and color conversion filter substrate

An organic EL display device includes an organic EL light emitting element having the first electrode, an organic EL layer and the second electrode formed on a substrate; and a color conversion filter bonded to the organic EL light emitting element and having a color conversion filter layer formed on a transparent substrate. An outer sealing wall and an internal filling portion are formed between the organic EL light emitting element and the color conversion filter. A partition wall is formed between the outer sealing wall and the internal filling portion.

A piezo-electric actuator operated press in which piezo-electric actuators are employed as punch driving sources, and, with a workpiece held between an upper and lower die set, the punches are driven by the piezo-electric actuators to punch the workpiece; the punches and the piezo-electric actuators are built in the respective die sets, and the movable one of the die sets is coupled to a die shifting mechanism, so that it is driven to a die opening position or a die closing position, whereby the workpiece can be smoothly fed in and taken out of the press.

A piezo-electric actuator, comprising a flat spring having a plurality of arched side beams, the arched side beams having first and second ends, a central beam having first and second ends and top and bottom surfaces and disposed between the arched side beams, a fixed first end portion connecting the first end of the central beam with the first ends of the plurality of arched side beams, and a free second end portion connecting the second ends of the central beam with the second ends of the plurality of second arched side beams, wherein the arched side beams and the central beam are parallel to each other, and a piezo-electric element affixed to the bottom surface the central beam.

Pre-loaded piezoelectric actuators provide improved work piece displacement, frequency of repetition, accuracy and repeatability. Actuators may use a coil spring providing a compressive force adequate to substantially fully compress a laminated piezoelectric element on a non-destructive basis. Upon activation, a pre-loaded actuator delivers a full workpiece drive stroke because piezoelectric element axial compression has previously occurred. Pre-loading methods and pre-loading to damp out element oscillation are also disclosed.

A driving power unit for a piezoactivator is disclosed that utilizes a semiconductor switching device for supplying power to the piezoelement. When the voltage measured across the piezoelement attains a predetermined valve, the semiconductor switching device turns off. Sensing devices cause the switching device to turn on upon the voltage dropping by a predetermined margin and cause the voltage source to turn off when the switching device remains on beyond a predetermined time period. Memory and logic circuitry also control the switching sequence of the switching device.

Driving power unit for piezoactuator system and method

A press is described using piezoelectric actuators to achieve both the hold down of the work piece during the processing operation as well as powering the die used in deforming the work piece. The sub-assembly containing the piezoelectric element is structured to allow convenient removal from the main body of the press thereby facilitating repair operations, as well as coarse and fine adjusting facilities for the position of the piezoelectric element within the actuator assembly.
