An ophthalmic image processing method includes: acquiring information about characteristics of an examinee's eye including corneal information about the corneal anterior surface shape of the examinee's eye, and refractivity information about refraction of the examinees eye as a whole; generating a simulation image of a target image formed at fundus of the examinee's eye using the refractivity information; and simultaneously displaying an eyeball model image showing an eyeball structure, the simulation image, and a corneal information image associated with the cornea on the eyeball model image and corresponding to the corneal information.

An ophthalmic apparatus and a method for calculating internal refractive power distribution of an eye of an examinee, which allow easily evaluating refractive power distribution of a crystalline lens, an intraocular lens and the like. The ophthalmic apparatus has a unit which inputs respective measurement data on corneal refractive power distribution and whole refractive power distribution of the eye, the respective distribution referring to a reference axis, and a unit which obtains the internal refractive power distribution of the eye referring to the reference axis based on the inputted respective measurement data, obtains a prism component in the internal refractive power distribution with respect to the reference axis, and obtains internal refractive power distribution of the eye where the prism component is removed.

An ophthalmic measurement apparatus capable of obtaining refractive power containing a skew ray component, and further obtaining wavefront aberration from the refractive power with more ease and higher precision includes an optical system projecting slit light bundles onto a fundus of an examinee's eye and scanning the light bundles in predetermined first and second directions, an optical system with photodetectors placed in positions approximately conjugate with a cornea of the eye and placed in at least one meridian direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the photo-receiving optical system, and an arithmetic part obtaining, based on signals indicating phase differences from one of the photodetectors when photo-receiving the light bundles scanned in the first and second directions, refractive power in two directions at a corneal position corresponding to the photodetector position, and further obtains at least one of refractive power and a wavefront inclination by vector-synthesizing the obtained refractive power.

A corneal shape measuring apparatus for measuring a corneal shape of an eye to be examined, includes: an index projecting section having a first projecting optical system for projecting a corneal shape measuring index onto a cornea of the eye; an index detecting section having a first imaging optical system for obtaining an image of an anterior eye segment including an image of the measuring index formed on the cornea; an arithmetic section for obtaining the corneal shape based on the obtained image of the measuring index; and an input section for inputting, to the arithmetic section, information on a boundary position between a pupil and an iris of the eye. The arithmetic section corrects information on the image of the measuring index based on the information on the boundary position thus inputted, and obtains the corneal shape based on the thus corrected information on the image of the measuring index.

An ophthalmic apparatus for calculating ophthalmic information of an eye to be operated, then determining an amount of corneal ablation for use in surgery for correcting ametropia, based on the calculated ophthalmic information, the apparatus comprising a first input device for inputting data of a pre-operative corneal shape obtained by corneal shape measurement, a second input device for inputting data of a pre-operative refractive power obtained by objective refractive power measurement, a first calculating device for calculating data of equivalent emmetropia corneal surface refractive power which is equivalent to cause the eye to be emmetropia, based on the data of the corneal shape and the data of the refractive power, a second calculating device for calculating estimation data of a post-operative corneal shape, based on the data of the equivalent emmetropia corneal surface refractive power, a third calculating device for calculating data of the amount of corneal ablation, based on the data of the pre-operative corneal shape and the data of the post-operative corneal shape, and a display device for displaying at least one of results calculated by the first, second and third calculating devices.

For this purpose, the lens periphery processing apparatus and method are designed to comprise an input device for inputting the configuration of lens frame portions of the eyeglasses frame which is a result of three-dimensional measurement, a calculation device for deriving peripheral lengths of the lens frame portions from the three-dimensional lens frame portion configuration inputted by the input device, a tapered edge curve determining device for determining a curve value defined by the locus of the tapered edge of each lens, and a computing device for computing the locus of the tapered edge of each lens which substantially coincides with the peripheral length of the associated lens frame portion which is obtained by the calculation device.
