Provided is a battery type determining device including: an output controller configured to instruct a current application circuit to apply a specific current to a battery having a current collector and a wound body or laminate; a magnetic field characteristic measurer configured to measure a magnetic field characteristic generated in the battery when the current is applied from the output controller; a storage unit configured to store a specified value of the magnetic field characteristic in accordance with a type of the battery; and a determiner configured to compare the specified value with a measured value of the magnetic field characteristic measurer to determine the type of the battery, wherein the magnetic field characteristic measurer measures a magnetic field generated by an electric current flowing through the current collector of the battery.

Provided is an information providing system capable of promoting reuse of secondary batteries. An information providing system includes a supplementing target device and a server. The supplementing target device includes: a power calculating unit configured to calculate maximum required power; an air temperature acquiring unit configured to acquire past air temperature data; and a supplementing target information requesting unit configured to transmit, to the server, supplementing target information. The server includes: a secondary battery searching unit configured to search for a secondary battery that satisfies the air temperature data and the data of the auxiliary power included in the supplementing target information when receiving the supplementing target information from the supplementing target information requesting unit, and an information transmitting unit configured to transmit secondary battery information relating to the second battery searched by the secondary battery searching unit to the supplementing target device.

A battery value setting apparatus including an electronic control unit including a microprocessor and a memory connected to the microprocessor. The microprocessor is configured to perform, acquiring a battery information including an information on a usage record of a battery mounted on a predetermined object, determining whether there is an abnormal usage record of the battery based on the battery information, and setting a trade-in value of the battery when it is determined that there is the abnormal usage record lower than the trade-in value when it is determined that there is not the abnormal usage record.
