The waveguide device, in which first/second openings are formed at end parts of a waveguide path, comprises a waveguide path obtained by uniting first/second waveguides. The first waveguide is provided with a first recessed part which has an opening with a same shape as the first opening and has a bottom part formed in a first direction as seen from the opening. The second waveguide is provided with a second recessed part which has an opening with a same shape as the second opening and has a bottom part formed in a second direction as seen from the opening. The first/second waveguides are united in a manner such that, positions of the bottom parts of the first/second recessed parts are different from each other in a direction differing from the first/second directions, and the first/second recessed parts connect with each other at the respective bottom parts.

Provided is a waveguide-microstrip line converter, including: a waveguide; a dielectric substrate that is connected to cover one end of the waveguide; a strip conductor that is disposed on a front surface of the dielectric substrate; a conductor plate that is disposed the front surface of the dielectric substrate, and connected to the strip conductor; a ground conductor that is disposed on a rear surface of the dielectric substrate; and a plurality of connection conductors that connect a periphery of the conductor plate and the ground conductor, in which: the ground conductor has an opening formed therein in a connection region; the strip conductor and the ground conductor form a microstrip line; and the plurality of connection conductors are arranged so that a distance between two lines of the plurality of connection conductors that are aligned in a longitudinal direction of the microstrip line, and disposed on both opposing sides of the conductor plate in a vicinity of a connection portion is narrower than a distance therebetween in a vicinity of the opening.

Waveguide-microstrip line converter having connection conductors spaced apart by different distances

A multiport amplifier and a wireless device using the same are obtained in which isolation among output terminals is improved, whereby the quality of communication is improved. The multiport amplifier includes an input hybrid, an output hybrid, a plurality of amplifiers and a plurality of gain and phase control circuits that are inserted between the input hybrid and the output hybrid, a plurality of output coupling circuits that are inserted between the output hybrid and a plurality of output terminals so that they receive output extraction signals corresponding to a plurality of output signals, and a feedback circuit including a frequency selection circuit that is inserted between the plurality of output coupling circuits and the plurality of gain and phase control circuits.

Multiport amplifier and wireless device using the same

In cases where a power divider is constructed by using a multilayer substrate, a power divider is obtained which is smaller in size and has a good reflection property. The power divider according to the present invention is provided with a multilayer dielectric substrate (), strip conductor patterns (through) formed on one surface of the multilayer dielectric substrate (), and a ground conductor pattern () formed on the other surface of the multilayer dielectric substrate (), wherein a transmission line is composed of the dielectric substrate (), the strip conductor patterns (through) and the ground conductor pattern (), and the transmission line has its one end branched to form a plurality of branch lines (), with an isolation resistance () being formed between the branch lines. A first capacitance forming part comprising a first pillar conductor () and a first capacitance forming conductor pattern (), both formed in an interior of the dielectric substrate (), is formed at a branch point () of said transmission line.

Power divider

It is an object to obtain a transmission line converter in which a rectangular waveguide provided under a transmission line may be reduced in size. In the transmission line converter including: a rectangular waveguide (); a slot () provided in a wall surface of the rectangular waveguide (); and a transmission line () which extends in a direction of a tube axis of the rectangular waveguide () and includes signal conductors (and) and a ground conductor (), the slot () is provided in a narrower wall surface of the rectangular waveguide () and has a shape in which a central portion of the slot () includes an oblique portion to the tube axis of the rectangular waveguide () and at least one of both end portions of the oblique portion includes a portion parallel to the tube axis of the rectangular waveguide (), and the wall surface of the rectangular waveguide () in which the slot () is provided is a part of the ground conductor ().

Transmission line converter using oblique coupling slots disposed in the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide

A planar antenna including slot arrays configured to set a narrow interval between elements so as to perform beam scanning in a wide angle range while keeping low loss and low profile. The planar antenna includes: a coaxial line including an inner conductor, an outer conductor provided so as to surround a circumference of the inner conductor, and both ends short-circuited; a feeding mechanism for exciting the coaxial line; and a plurality of slots formed on the outer conductor with a certain angle with respect to a tube direction of the coaxial line and having approximately a resonance length.

Coaxial line slot array antenna and method for manufacturing the same

A transition circuit includes: a waveguide having a notched portion formed by cutting away a portion of the tube wall of the waveguide from the end portion of the waveguide; a dielectric substrate in which a portion extending outside the waveguide through the notched portion of the waveguide is formed; a plurality of polygonal conductor patterns formed regularly disposed on the dielectric substrate; a ground conductor formed on the dielectric substrate; through holes electrically connecting this ground conductor and each of the conductor patterns; an open stub formed on the dielectric substrate; and the conductor of a microwave transmission line, which is formed on the portion of the dielectric substrate, extending outside the waveguide, and which is electrically connected to the open stub.

Transition circuit

The invention provides a dielectric substrate; a ground conductor pattern is formed on one surface of the dielectric substrate and which has a ground conductor pattern omission portion; a strip conductor pattern formed on a surface of the dielectric substrate opposite to the surface having the ground conductor pattern; a conductor pattern for shorting of a waveguide formed so as to be continuously connected to the strip conductor pattern; connecting conductors for connecting the ground conductor pattern and the conductor pattern to each other within the dielectric substrate; and a waveguide connected to the dielectric substrate so as to correspond to the ground conductor pattern omission portion. Also, a microstrip line is constituted by the strip conductor pattern, the ground conductor pattern, and the dielectric substrate. Further, a dielectric waveguide shorting portion is constituted by the conductor pattern, the ground conductor pattern, and the connecting conductors.

A nonreflective waveguide terminator includes a waveguide portion and an electromagnetic wave absorber. The portion has a rectangular opening in a plane perpendicular to a radio-wave propagation direction. The portion has one open end in the direction and the other end closed by a terminating metal internal wall. The portion has a radio-wave propagation space surrounded by first and second metal internal walls parallel to a radio-wave electric field, and third and fourth metal internal walls perpendicular to the field. The exterior shape of the absorber is a parallelepiped. The absorber has a rear-end surface positioned at a predetermined distance from the terminating wall and parallel to the terminating wall or is provided against the terminating wall. The surface of the absorber having the largest rectangular area is on the third or the fourth metal internal wall.

Nonreflective waveguide terminator and waveguide circuit

A connection structure is provided, which can perform an electrical connection between high-frequency circuit substrates in a manner of high workability and productivity. A connection structure comprises: a high-frequency transmission line lead frame connecting a first high-frequency transmission line formed on a first high-frequency circuit substrate to a second high-frequency transmission line formed on a second high-frequency circuit substrate; a plurality of GND electrode lead frames disposed in parallel to the high-frequency transmission line lead frame on both sides thereof, and providing a connection between a first GND electrode of the first high-frequency circuit substrate and a second GND electrode of the second high-frequency circuit substrate; and a reinforcing substrate integrally securing the high-frequency transmission line lead frame and a plurality of GND electrode lead frames.

Connection structure for high-frequency circuit substrate, manufacturing method thereof and high frequency circuit device

The prior art has a problem in which an isolation between output terminals is deteriorated when a thin film resistor is used as an isolation resistor. Such being the case, in a power divider/combiner comprising an input terminal, two output terminals, two branch lines each connecting the input terminal and one of the output terminals and having a line length that is &frac14; of a set wavelength or a multiple of integer of half a wavelength and &frac14; of the set wavelength, and an isolation resistor connected to between the output terminals, there is provided an improved power divider/combiner further comprising a transmission line interposed between each of the output terminals and the branch lines. Consequently, even when using the isolation resistor having a length that can not be ignored as compared with a wavelength of a high-frequency signal in use, the isolation between the output terminals can be ensured.

Power divider/combiner

A reflection characteristic in a high frequency region at a feeding point into a strip line is improved and the assembly of a strip line feeding apparatus facilitated by the method and apparatus herein. The strip line includes a strip line pattern on a surface of a first dielectric substrate having a ground conductor pattern disposed on the opposite surface thereof, and a second ground conductor pattern disposed on a surface of a second dielectric substrate. A serial high impedance portion is disposed at an area near the tip portion of the strip line pattern. The high impedance portion includes a portion of the strip line pattern having narrowed width or a hole disposed under a through-hole for an inner conductor, which electrically connects the strip line pattern and an inner conductor. Dimensions of the high impedance portion are controlled to cancel out parasitic susceptance due to the discontinuous structure. A matching through-hole is further disposed in the second dielectric substrate in an area separated from the tip portion of the strip line pattern by a distance of around 25% of the typical wave length. The matching through-hole is elongated to a land pattern in a hole disposed in the second ground conductor pattern so as to electrically connect the conductor strip pattern and the land pattern.
