An ink set comprising a black ink and a color ink, wherein the black ink comprises an aqueous dispersion of water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles containing an oil-soluble black dye or carbon black, the vinyl polymer particles have an ionicity opposite to that of the color ink, and the vinyl polymer comprises a water-insoluble vinyl polymer prepared by copolymerizing (a) a salt forming group-containing monomer, (b) a monomer represented by the formula (I):CH&#x2550;C(R)COO(RO)R&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein Ris hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, Ris a divalent hydrocarbon group which may have a hetero-atom, Ris a monovalent hydrocarbon group which may have a hetero-atom, and p is a number of 1 to 60, (c) a macromer, and (d) a monomer copolymerizable with these monomers. The ink set can be used as an ink set for inkjet recording, which is excellent in not only fixing abilities and water resistance, but also bleeding resistance and jettability, and can form very clear printouts.

Ink set

A water-based ink comprising a colorant and a water-insoluble polymer having at least two hydroxyl groups at its end; a water-based ink comprising a water-insoluble polymer having an ionic group at its end and a pigment; and a process for preparing a water-based ink, comprising dissolving a water-insoluble polymer having an ionic group at its end or at least two hydroxyl groups at its end in an organic solvent; adding a pigment, water and a neutralizing agent, and optionally a surfactant to the resulting solution; kneading the mixture to form a paste; diluting the paste with water as occasion demands; and distilling off the organic solvent to make it into a water-based system. The water-based ink can be suitably used for printers for inkjet printing.

Water-based ink

An ink set comprising at least two color inks containing water-insoluble colorants for color inks having a different color with each other, wherein the ink set has at least one combination of two color inks satisfying that the difference in the average particle diameter of the particles contained in the colorant between these two color inks is at least 55 nm. The ink set can be suitably used for printers for inkjet printing.

An ink set comprising (A) a black ink comprising a water-insoluble colorant for black ink and (B) a color ink comprising a water-insoluble colorant for color ink, wherein the difference between the maximum average particle diameter and the minimum average particle diameter of the colorants contained in the water-insoluble colorant for black ink and the water-insoluble colorant for color ink is at most 45 nm. The ink set can be suitably used for an ink set for inkjet recording.

A water-based ink for inkjet printing comprising a water dispersion of vinyl polymer particles prepared by containing a pigment in a vinyl polymer prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (a) a salt-forming group-containing monomer, (b) a macromer, and (c) a monomer copolymerizable with the salt-forming group-containing monomer and the macromer; and a process for preparing a water-based ink for inkjet printing comprising a water dispersion of vinyl polymer particles prepared by containing a pigment in a vinyl polymer, comprising dissolving in an organic solvent a vinyl polymer prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (a) a salt-forming group-containing monomer, (b) a macromer, and (c) a monomer copolymerizable with the salt-forming group-containing monomer and the macromer; adding a pigment to the resulting solution; pre-kneading the mixture; thereafter adding a neutralizing agent and water and kneading the mixture, to give an oil-in-water dispersion; and distilling off the organic solvent from the resulting kneaded product.

Water-based ink for ink-jet recording

A water-based ink comprising an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles comprising a polymer obtained by a solution polymerization, a bulk polymerization method or a suspension polymerization method, and a fluorescent colorant. The water-based ink can be suitably used as a water-based ink for inkjet recording and the like.

A water-based ink composition comprising a polybasic acid, an ionic polymer and a coloring agent. The water-based ink composition is used for a water-based ink for inkjet recording.

Water-based ink composition

A water-based ink composition comprising (A) an aqueous medium; (B) at least one colorant selected from the group consisting of (i) polymer particles comprising a dye or pigment and a water-insoluble polymer, and (ii) a self-dispersible pigment; and (C) a specific compound A. The water-based ink composition is used for inkjet printing.

The invention relates to a tooth coating composition comprising (A) a polymer having one or more carboxyl or carbonyloxycarbonyl groups in its molecule, a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 5,000,000, a solubility of 1 g or higher in 100 g of absolute ethanol at 20&deg; C. and a solubility of 10 g or lower in 100 g of water at 20&deg; C., and (B) water or an alcohol having 1 to 5 carbon atoms. When coating teeth with the composition, the coating is not easily peeled by eating and drinking, but can be easily removed if necessary.

The present invention provides an ink jet recording sheet having a good printing quality and an excellent ink absorbency. The recording sheet comprises a substrate sheet and an ink-absorbing layer, provided on at least one face of the substrate sheet, containing a water soluble resin or water dispersible resin (A) and an ester group-possessing nonionic surfactant (B) having an HLB of 11 or more, wherein the ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is (A):(B)=100:0.01 to 30 (weight ratio).

A liquid-absorbent composite comprises (a) a water-absorbent polymer, (b) a water-insoluble inorganic material and (c) a water-insoluble hydrophilic fibrous material at a weight ratio between (a), (b) and (c) in the range of 100:5-1200:5-1200. It is very useful as the absorbent component for a sanitary napkin and a medical pad.
