An epoxy resin composition for carbon-fiber-reinforced composite material includes (A) a bisphenol F-type epoxy resin that is liquid at 25&#xb0; C., (B) a polyfunctional amine-type epoxy resin, and (C) 3,3'-Diaminodiphenyl sulfone. With respect to 100 parts by mass of the entire epoxy resin in the epoxy resin composition, the content of component (A) is 40 to 60 parts by mass, the content of component (B) is 30 to 45 parts by mass, and the total content of components (A) and (B) is 85 to 100 parts by mass. The content of component (C) satisfies 1.04&#x2264;x/y&#x2264;1.35, where x is a molar number of active hydrogen atoms in the amine of component (C) and y is a molar number of all epoxy groups in the epoxy resin composition.

A prepreg comprising the following constituent elements (A), (B), and (C), the constituent element (C) being present in a surface layer of the prepreg: Constituent element (A): a reinforcing fiber base material; Constituent element (B): an epoxy resin composition containing a curing agent, the epoxy resin composition being cured within the range of from 90&#xb0; C. to 140&#xb0; C. (inclusive); and Constituent element (C): particles of a thermoplastic resin having a melting point or a glass transition temperature within the range of from 90&#xb0; C. to 140&#xb0; C. (inclusive).

A prepreg tape in which reinforcing fiber bundles are impregnated with a thermosetting resin composition, wherein the prepreg tape has a tack value measured at 23&#xb0; C. at a plunger push pressure of 90 kPa of 5-40 kPa, a tack value measured at 45&#xb0; C. and a plunger push pressure of 150 kPa of 35-100 kPa, and a drape value at 23&#xb0; C. of 10-40&#xb0;, and includes unidirectional fibers arranged along the direction of length of the prepreg tape.

A prepreg including: a component (A); a component (B); and a component (C), in which the component (A) is a reinforced fiber substrate, the component (B) is an epoxy resin composition, the component (C) is a component (c1) or a component (c2), the component (c1) includes polyamide particles and thermosetting polyimide particles, and the component (c2) includes spherical polyamide particles having a melting point of 140&#xb0; C. to 175&#xb0; C.

An epoxy resin composition, the epoxy resin composition including components (A1) to (C1) described below, wherein the content of the component (B1) is 8 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the component (A1), and the content of the component (C1) is 12 to 110 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the component (A1): component (A1): an epoxy resin; component (B1): a boron trihalide-amine complex; and component (C1): rubber particles.
