An internal gear manufacturing method capable of manufacturing time reduction and easy core removal, and a metallic glass internal gear manufactured thereby. A carbon core formed into a shape of an external gear is arranged in a thin, long tubular mold of a length equal thereto with a space extending longitudinally therealong. A molten metal material is pressure-injected under a temperature higher than a melting point thereof into the space between the mold and the core. The molten metal material is resolidified by rapid cooling at or above a critical cooling rate thereof together with the mold and the core. After resolidification of the molten metal material, the core is removed by pulverization or dissolution. Along internal gear formed of the resolidified metal material is cut into a plurality of segments of a prescribed length.

Internal gear manufacturing method and metallic glass internal gear manufactured thereby

A motor which can be mounted in an endoscope probe without bending an electric power supply wire in an endoscope probe body, and an endoscope probe using the motor are provided. The motor includes a magnet, a field coil, a housing, an electric power supply wire, and a shaft. A lead wire from the field coil is connected to the electric power supply wire. A cutout is provided in a housing end, and the electric power supply wire is received along the cutout and led out to the outside of the motor in the direction in which a shaft projects. When the motor is mounted in the endoscope probe, the motor is placed in the endoscope probe body so that the shaft projects in the direction opposite to the direction of the front end of the endoscope probe, and the electric power supply wire, which is led out to the outside of the motor, is routed along the longitudinal direction of the endoscope probe.

Disclosed herein is a reliable inner rotor type miniature brushless motor structure wherein, while a field coil is fixedly disposed onto the inner wall of a housing, an end flange is fixedly disposed into one end of the housing from where tap wires of the field coil are drawn out, so that the tap wires exposed from the end-flange side end of the housing can be connected to wiring substrates fixedly disposed onto the outer periphery of the end flange without the need to bend the wiring substrates, and further so that power feed lands can be large enough to reduce the likelihood of wiring breakage and other problems.

A calibration system for periodically calibrating an optical instrument on board a satellite with reference light. In the disclosed system, a calibration unit has two photodetectors one of which is positioned near the light source which radiates reference light and the other near the aperture from which the reference light emerges toward optics of the instrument. Therefore, it is possible to discriminate between contamination or degradation of the optical instrument and contamination of the calibration unit. Two identical and independent calibration units are employed to provide redundancy and enhance the accuracy of calibration.
