A vehicle control device includes a travel environment recognition device configured to recognize travel environment, a vehicle travel state detection device, and an autonomous/manual driving mode controller. The autonomous/manual driving mode controller includes a learning correction unit configured to store at least one of a plurality of control parameters indicating the vehicle travel state by operation of the driver in the autonomous driving mode, and to correct the control parameter in the autonomous driving mode according to the stored control parameter. When the stored control parameter is the control parameter changed by an operation by the driver midway in passing or after passing, the learning correction unit is configured to correct the control parameter in the autonomous driving mode so that an acceleration level or the deceleration level is increased midway in passing or after passing.

A vehicle control device is for a vehicle having a drive source, and an automatic transmission connected to the drive source, the automatic transmission having an engagement element for disconnecting/connecting transmission of a driving force and a variator placed further upstream than the engagement element. The vehicle control device includes first and second control units. The first control unit is configured to execute sailing stop control to stop the drive source and to put the automatic transmission into a neutral state when a sailing stop condition is established. The second control unit is configured to start the drive source and to implement downshifting of the variator when a size of a deceleration level is a prescribed value or greater when the sailing stop control is cancelled due to a prescribed sailing stop cancellation condition among sailing stop cancellation conditions being established, and to engage the engagement element after the downshifting.

A vehicle sailing stop control method is provided for a vehicle including a friction engagement element disposed between a traveling drive source and drive wheels, a torque converter disposed between the friction engagement element and the traveling drive source, and including a lock-up clutch for which a power transmission amount is controlled based on hydraulic pressure, and a hydraulic pressure source that can supply the hydraulic pressure while the traveling drive source is stopped. The vehicle sailing stop control method includes: performing sailing stop control so that coasting is performed by cutting off power transmission of the friction engagement element and stopping the traveling drive source upon a sailing stop travel condition being established; and, during coasting by the sailing stop control, placing the lock-up clutch in a power transmission state in which the hydraulic pressure is applied to the lock-up clutch.

A sailing stop control method for a vehicle including a transmission and a friction engaging element in series between an engine and drive wheels includes performing a sailing stop control to coast by shutting off power transmission by the friction engaging element, stopping the engine based on satisfaction of a sailing enter condition, restarting the engine upon satisfaction of a sailing exit condition during coasting by the sailing stop control, executing a shift control to set a target speed ratio of the transmission to a highest speed ratio smaller than a coasting speed ratio in normal time and satisfying engine exhaust performance after the restart of the engine if the sailing exit condition is a brake pedal depressing operation, and re-engaging the friction engaging element, if input and output revolution speeds of the friction engaging element are determined to be a synchronous revolution speed after end of the shift control.

Sailing stop control method and control device for vehicle

A vehicle control device includes control means for executing coasting control, in which a friction engaging element is disengaged and a rotation speed of a rotary shaft of a drive source is set at zero, when a shift range corresponds to a travel range and a coasting condition is established, and the control means executes the coasting control when the shift range is modified to a neutral range.

Variator () and forward clutch (Fwd/C) disposed in series are provided between engine () having starter motor () and driving wheel (). Sailing stop control that, on the basis of satisfaction of sailing entering condition, interrupts power transmission by frictional engagement element (Fwd/C), stops engine () and performs coast-travel is performed. When sailing entering condition is satisfied, coast-travel is started with rotation stop timing of variator () being delayed with respect to rotation stop timing of engine (). When accelerator pedal depression operation intervenes after start of coast-travel, engine () is restarted by starter motor (). When judged that input and output rotation speeds of frictional engagement element (Fwd/C) become synchronization rotation speed after restart of engine (), frictional engagement element (Fwd/C) is reengaged. Shift response from coast-travel to normal travel is therefore improved at change-of-mind at which sailing quitting condition is satisfied during progress of automatic stop of engine.

Method and system for controlling sailing stop in vehicle

A vehicle control device includes control means for executing coasting control to disengage a friction engaging element and set a rotation speed of a rotary shaft of a drive source at zero when a predetermined condition is established, the predetermined condition including at least a condition according to which an accelerator pedal is not depressed. The control means starts the coasting control after predicting that an actual speed ratio of a continuously variable transmission will be modifiable to a target speed ratio of the coasting control during the coasting control, even in a case where the accelerator pedal is not depressed but the actual speed ratio has not yet reached the target speed ratio.
