A vehicle drive device includes a rotating electric machine disposed on a first axis, an output gear mechanism and an output member disposed on a second axis, and a case that houses these elements. The second axis is disposed below the first axis, a suction port of an oil pump is disposed below the first axis and the second axis and between the first axis and the second axis in a width direction, an outermost gear is disposed so that a direction of rotation at a lower end portion of the outermost gear during forward movement of a vehicle points toward the suction port, and a part of a peripheral wall section of the case that faces a lower surface of the rotating electric machine is inclined downward toward the suction port.

Vehicle drive device

A first transmission system includes at least one gear disposed on a second axis, the at least one gear including a first outer gear disposed on an outermost side in a radial direction, and a second transmission system includes at least one gear disposed on the second axis, the at least one gear including a second outer gear disposed on an outermost side in the radial direction. The first outer gear and the second outer gear are spaced apart from each other in an axial direction. An oil cooler is disposed between the first outer gear and the second outer gear in the axial direction in such a manner as to overlap at least either the first outer gear or the second outer gear as viewed in the axial direction.

The disclosed left-right wheel drive device () includes first tubular surface portions (), second tubular surface portions (), and third tubular surface portions (). The first tubular surface portion () is formed into a tubular surface shape along an outer circumference of a driven gear (). The second tubular surface portion () is formed into a tubular surface shape along an outer circumference of a first counter gear (). The third tubular surface portion () is formed into a tubular surface shape along an outer circumference of the first counter gear (). The upper surface portion () is formed into a surface shape connected to an upper end of the third tubular surface portion (), is arranged over the first bearing (), and includes a first oil hole () that supplies lubricant to the first bearing ().

Left-right wheel drive device

A case for a vehicle drive device includes a first case part having a first support part, a second case part having a first part, and a third case part having a second part. The second case part is joined to the first case part on an axial-direction first side, the third case part is joined to the first case part on an axial-direction second side, a first rotating body and a first input member are placed between the first support part and the first part in an axial direction, in a supported state by the first support part and the first part, and a second rotating body and a second input member are placed between the first support part and the second part in the axial direction, in a supported state by the first support part and the second part.

A vehicle drive device is provided that can suppress the increase in dimension in the radial direction while ensuring a sufficient speed reduction ratio. Two driving force sources are arranged on a first axis, two output members are arranged on a second axis, two counter gear mechanisms are arranged on a third axis. A planetary gear mechanism is configured to transmit rotation from the two counter gear mechanisms to the output members, and is disposed so as to overlap with both of the two counter gear mechanisms as seen in an axial direction along and axial direction.
