A marine vessel propulsion system includes a propulsive force generator to generate a propulsive force, a drive source to drive the propulsive force generator, and a controller configured or programmed to control the drive source to perform marine vessel maneuvering-related functions including at least one limited function. The controller includes an interface, and is further configured or programmed to include a restriction unit to restrict a control operation for the limited function, and a restriction cancellation unit to cancel the restriction effected by the restriction unit to permit the control operation for the limited function if a predetermined keycode is inputted from the interface or is registered in the controller.

An electric outboard motor includes an outboard motor main body that includes an electric motor and a tiller handle that turns together with the outboard motor main body with respect to a hull. The tiller handle includes a handle bar that turns together with the outboard motor main body with respect to the hull, an accelerator grip that is rotatable with respect to the handle bar and that is rotated when the electric motor is rotated, and a shift switch located closer to a distal end of the accelerator grip with respect to a proximal end of the accelerator grip and that is operated when a shift state of the outboard motor main body is switched between a forward mode and a reverse mode.

Electric outboard motor

An outboard motor performs assist control of assisting rotation of a crankshaft and performs power running rotation speed range expansion control of expanding a power running rotation speed range of a rotary electric machine in a state in which the crankshaft is rotated at a rotation speed within a cranking rotation speed range due to rotation of a rope reel.

Outboard motor, engine starter, and engine starting method

An outboard motor includes an electric power source, a mechanical power source auxiliary machine, an electric circuit, an electric supply port, and a switch. The mechanical power source auxiliary machine assists driving a mechanical power source. The electric circuit electrically connects the electric power source and the mechanical power source auxiliary machine. The electric supply port is electrically connected to the electric power source through the electric circuit, and supplies an electric power to an accessory device to be connected thereto. The switch is disposed between the electric power source and the electric supply port in the electric circuit, and is switchable between an on state and an off state. The switch allows a flow of an electric current when switched to the on state, and interrupts the flow of the electric current when switched to the off state.

Outboard motor

A radio communication device according to an exemplary aspect of the present invention which communicates in a form of multi data streams can reduce antennas which become useless in communication with a radio communication device which communicates in a form of one data stream, and can improve transmission characteristic in communication with a radio communication device which communicates in the form of one data stream. Therefore, an antenna which is not used is used for selective diversity receiving. Moreover, an antenna which is not used is moved near an antenna which is used for communication, to keep a transmission state stable.
