A production method for a fiber article includes: a contact step of, while transferring a plurality of first fibers, bringing a plurality of resin particles formed of high molecules that can be fiberized into contact with the plurality of first fibers; a first processing step of applying an external force to the plurality of first fibers brought into contact with the plurality of resin particles and narrowing gaps between fibers; and a second processing step of, by relieving the external force applied to the plurality of first fibers brought into contact with the plurality of resin particles, forming second fibers from the plurality of resin particles, the second fibers each having an outer diameter that is smaller than each of the first fibers and is set to a value in a range of 30 nm or more to 1.0 μm or less, and forming a fiber composite including the first fibers and the second fibers.

A dry-laid nonwoven fabric production method may include: affixing resin particles including polymeric molecules to a plurality of first fibers; applying an external force to the plurality of first fibers to which the plurality of resin particles are affixed so as to reduce gaps between the first fibers; relieving the applied external force to form in gas, from the plurality of resin particles, second fibers each having an outer diameter smaller than that of the first fiber and the outer diameter of each of the second fibers have a value in a range from 30 nm to 1.0 μm; and forming a nonwoven fabric that is a fiber composite including the first fibers and the second fibers.

A spinning apparatus includes a spinning cabinet extending in a vertical direction, a spinneret that includes a plurality of spinneret holes, is disposed on an upper end side of the spinning cabinet, and is configured to extrude a spinning dope from the plurality of spinneret holes into an interior space of the spinning cabinet, a first gas supply path connected to the spinning cabinet is configured to supply a first gas from above the spinneret to the interior space, allowing the first gas to come into contact with the spinning dope extruded from the plurality of spinneret holes, and a second gas supply path connected to the spinning cabinet is configured to supply a second gas having a higher temperature than that of the first gas from below the spinneret to the interior space, allowing the second gas to come into contact with the spinning dope extruded from the plurality of spinneret holes.
