A driving assistance device includes a determination unit configured to, in a case where a preceding vehicle located in front of a vehicle in a stopped state starts, determine whether an object is located inside a specified area that is a predetermined area in front of the vehicle, and a driving assistance unit configured to maintain the stopped state of the vehicle in a case where an object is located inside the specified area in a case where the preceding vehicle starts.

In a drive assist device, a first condition that an inter-vehicle distance between a preceding vehicle and an own vehicle is smaller than a first threshold, a second condition that a speed of the preceding vehicle relative to the own vehicle is lower than a second threshold, a third condition that a speed of an adjacent vehicle that travels on an adjacent lane to the own vehicle is lower than a third threshold, and a fourth condition that an acceleration rate of the adjacent vehicle is lower than a fourth threshold are defined. When at least one of the first condition and the second condition and at least one of the third condition and the fourth condition are satisfied, the drive assist ECU executes acceleration restraint control of a driving device and/or a braking device such that an acceleration rate of the own vehicle is '0' or lower.

The vehicle control apparatus comprises a sensor to detect a turning movement physical quantity, an acceleration-deceleration device, a control unit, and a device to obtain road shape information representing a shape of a road at a position that is away from a vehicle by a predetermined distance. The unit determines that a first control start condition becomes satisfied when a magnitude of the physical quantity exceeds a first value while the curved road has not been determined to be present based on the road shape information, to perform an acceleration-deceleration control for making the vehicle run at a target speed depending on a curvature of the road. The unit determines that a second control start condition becomes satisfied when the magnitude of the physical quantity exceeds a second value smaller than the first value while the curved road has been determined to be present to perform the acceleration-deceleration control.

Vehicle control apparatus

A vehicle control device executes a cruise control to let a vehicle travel in such a manner that an acceleration is equal to a predetermined acceleration, when an execution condition becomes satisfied, and starts a vehicle speed upper limit control to let the vehicle travel in such a manner that the vehicle speed does not exceed an upper limit value determined based on a shape of a curve section, when a start condition becomes satisfied. The vehicle control device starts displaying a display element in a first display mode, when the vehicle speed upper limit control is started. At a time point at which the vehicle speed upper limit control is ended, the vehicle control device starts displaying the display element in a second display mode different from the first display mode if the execution condition is not satisfied.

A control-target vehicle setting apparatus sets a control-target vehicle that serves as a target for driving assistance control. The control-target vehicle setting apparatus includes a detection signal acquiring unit and a setting control unit. The detection signal acquiring unit acquires a first detection signal that indicates a target by an image and a second detection signal that indicates a target by a reflection point. The setting control unit sets an acquired forward target as the control-target vehicle when the forward target is associated with an integration history that indicates that the forward target has been determined to be a vehicle using the first detection signal and the second detection signal in an integrated manner, even when the forward target is not associated with a movement history that indicates that the forward target has been detected as being a moving object.
