A sound pickup device includes a diaphragm that vibrates according to an acoustic pressure of input sound, an acoustic member having a sound channel formed to guide sound to the diaphragm, and a Helmholtz resonator having an opening formed in a wall surface surrounding the sound channel, in which the diaphragm is disposed inside a microphone in which a sound hole is formed, the acoustic member includes: a first substrate that has a through hole formed at the same position as the sound hole, and is attached to the microphone; and a second substrate that has the sound channel formed at a position corresponding to the through hole, and is attached to the first substrate.

An occupied seat detection device includes: at least one receiver that is disposed in a space including a plurality of seats and receives at least one of sound generated inside the space or sound generated outside the space; an acoustic characteristics analyzer that calculates, from a signal received by the at least one receiver, temporal characteristics or frequency characteristics of the sound in the space; and a detector that detects whether an occupant is present or whether an occupied seat is present inside the space, based on the temporal characteristics or the frequency characteristics calculated by the acoustic characteristics analyzer, and outputs a detection result.

An optical microphone includes: a light source; a first optical divider dividing light from the light source into reference light and measurement light; a second optical divider dividing the measurement light into N measurement light beams; a first emitter emitting the N measurement light beams from different positions toward a predetermined space; a first light receiver receiving the N measurement light beams having propagated through the space; a third optical divider dividing the reference light into N reference light beams; N optical couplers coupling the N measurement light beams with the N reference light beams on a one-to-one basis; N optical detectors receiving N coupled light beams and each detecting interference between the measurement light beam and the reference light beam in the corresponding coupled light beam; and a controller controlling directionality of sound pickup by performing signal processing on N detection signals from the N optical detectors.

An echo suppression device includes an echo canceller which suppresses a linear echo signal from an input signal acquired by a microphone; a nonlinear echo estimation unit which, by using a nonlinear echo model indicative of a relationship between at least one of a call reception signal to be output to a speaker and the input signal, and a nonlinear echo signal, estimates the nonlinear echo signal included in the input signal from at least one of the call reception signal and the input signal; a nonlinear echo suppression unit which, by using the estimated nonlinear echo signal, suppresses the nonlinear echo signal from an output signal of the echo canceller; and an echo suppressor which suppresses a residual linear echo signal not suppressed by the echo canceller from an output signal of the nonlinear echo suppression unit.
