A composite duplexer includes an antenna terminal, a first receiving terminal, a second receiving terminal, a transmitting terminal, a first switch, a duplexer, and a second switch. The first switch includes a first branch contact, a second branch contact connected with the transmitting terminal, a third branch contact connected with the second receiving terminal, and a first common contact connected with the first antenna terminal. The first common contact of the first switch is connected selectively with the first branch contact, the second branch contact, and the third branch contact. The first duplexer includes a first receiving filter connected with the first receiving terminal, and a first transmitting filter. The duplexer is connected with the first branch contact of the first switch. The second switch is operable to connect and disconnect electrically between the first transmitting filter of the first duplexer and the transmitting terminal. This composite duplexer can separate signals even if their frequency bands are close to each other.

Composite duplexer

An antenna apparatus and a portable wireless device using the same are disclosed, in which a coupling between antenna elements is reduced and an isolation property is improved even when frequencies of antenna elements are close or overlapped. The antenna apparatus includes a ground board, a first antenna element corresponding to a first frequency band, a second antenna element corresponding to a second frequency band in the vicinity of, or overlapped with the first frequency band, a first power feeding part connecting the ground board to the first antenna element and a second power feeding part connecting the ground board to the second antenna element, in which the first antenna element is arranged in a direction at an angle of an integer multiple of 90 degrees with respect to a long edge of the ground board, and the second antenna element is arranged in parallel with the long edge of the ground board.

Antenna apparatus and portable wireless device using the same

The disclosed is a downsized and power saving antenna duplexer. The antenna duplexer includes: diplexer; first surface acoustic wave filter to transmit/receive low channel frequency band signals; first phase shift circuit to match the transmission phase with the reception phase of first surface acoustic wave filter; second surface acoustic wave filter to transmit/receive high channel frequency band signals; second phase shift circuit to match the transmission phase with the reception phase of second surface acoustic wave filter. Diplexer, first phase shift circuit and second phase shift circuit are formed in a monolithic structure in package that includes surface acoustic wave filters. The configuration can provide the antenna duplexer with a compact size, a lower current consumption and a highly efficient performance.

Antenna duplexer

A planar inverted-F antenna has a ground plate provided on a circuit board, a planar radiator, a short line, a feed line, and an inductance element. The radiator is disposed facing the ground plate. The short line and the feed line are connected to the radiator. The inductance element is connected electrically between the ground plate and the short line.

The present invention provides a portable transceiver includes a first housing () having a first circuit board () in its inside and an input section at its surface, a second housing () having a second circuit board () in its inside and a display section at its surface, and a coupling section () for electrically coupling the first circuit board () with the second circuit board (). An antenna section () and an element section () are disposed at one of the circuit boards, and the first housing () and the second housing () are coupled with each other via a hinge section () and can be folded.

Portable radio

A surface acoustic wave filter with little electromagnetic coupling between wires and improved attenuation characteristics is provided. This surface acoustic wave filter comprises: a package having a concavity in the shape of stairs made by laminating dielectrics, a surface acoustic wave element provided on the bottom face of the concavity, a plurality of wires for connecting between a plurality of electrodes provided on the surface of the surface acoustic wave element and a plurality of electrodes provided on one same plane portion of the stairs of the package in correspondence to a plurality of electrodes, and a dummy wire provided between the wires.

Surface acoustic wave filter

An antenna capable of attaining the miniaturization thereof and the widening of a band in use, and an electronic device containing this antenna therein, having a miniaturized structure and adaptable to a wide band. This antenna is provided with a feeding element having a feeder end, an antenna core provided with the feeding element on an outer circumference thereof, a feeder lead connected to the feeder end, and a magnetic member covering the feeder end. This electronic device is provided with the antenna, a transmission system, and a reception system, and the feeder lead of the antenna is connected to at least one of the transmission system and reception system.

A wireless device includes a first antenna element resonating with a first frequency, a first feeding point coupled to the first antenna element and disposed on a ground plane in the wireless device, and a first matching circuit of which its first end is coupled to the first feeding point. A hybrid radio frequency (RF) switching device includes first to fourth ports, a diode coupled between the first port and second port, a first transmission line having a length of &#x3bb;g/4 (where &#x3bb;g is a wave length of a frequency in a first frequency band), and a first element coupled in series with the first transmission line having an almost simple reactance component and nearly opening in a second frequency band. The first transmission line and first element are coupled in series between the second port and third port. The device further includes a second transmission line having a length of &#x3bb;d/4 (where &#x3bb;d is a wavelength of a frequency in the second frequency band), and a second element having an almost simple reactance component and nearly opening in the first frequency band. The second transmission line and second element are coupled in series between the second port and fourth port.

High-frequency composite switch component

A high-frequency hybrid switch module arranged applicable to at least two different communications systems includes two low pass filters (LPFs), two phase shifters, a field effect transistor (FET) switch including FETs, and two SAW filters. The FETs and the SAW filters are mounted on a layered assembly including the LPFs and an electrode pattern of the phase shifters. The module can have a small overall size, a low cost, and a small loss, while being protected from static electricity. The module requires small number of low-noise amplifiers at a signal receiving side.

High-frequency composite switch module

A high frequency composite switch module for a mobile communication device, wherein high frequency circuits such as a power amplifier, a circuit functioning as a transmitter/receiver switching circuit, a surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter for reception, and the like are modularized into one unit. A transmitter circuit includes a transmitter side impedance converter comprising an impedance matching circuit and an impedance converter circuit, a power amplifier and a power supply unit. A receiver circuit includes a receiver-side impedance converter comprising a phase shifting circuit and a SAW filter. The power amplifier and the impedance converter circuit are integrated into one IC chip. At least one of the matching circuit, the power supply unit and the phase shifting circuit is formed inside a multilayer board comprised of a conductor layer and a dielectric layer. The IC chip and the SAW filter are also mounted on the multilayer board.

High-frequency composite switch module and mobile communication device using the same

A high-frequency switch having two input terminals and two output terminals of which a broad pass band is required has (i) a circuit board that has two input electrodes along one side and two output electrodes along another side, and (ii) four PIN diodes mounted on this circuit board. Each side of the quadrangle made by connecting the input electrodes and the output electrodes is not parallel to the corresponding side of the quadrangle made by connecting electrodes for mounting the PIN diodes. Each side and the corresponding side form an angle other than 180&#xb0;. This structure can provide a high-frequency switch capable of reducing a transmission loss in the paths and facilitating impedance matching.

High-frequency switch

A high-frequency compound switch module of this invention has a first communication system comprising a switch unit for switching connection of a signal from an antenna to one of a transmission circuit and a reception circuit of the first communication system based on a signal from a control terminal, a filter provided on a first reception circuit side, for filtering out a first reception signal, and a first phase shift line provided between the filter and the switch unit, and a second communication system comprising a second phase shift line provided between the switch unit and the first phase shift line, and a branching filter provided in series to the second phase shift line for branching a signal from the second phase shift line into a second transmission signal and a second reception signal. The switch module is capable of performing at least a receiving process of the first communication system while performing transmission/reception with the second communication system.

High-frequency compound switch module and communication terminal using it

A first diode is connected in series to a transmission port, and a low pass filter having transmission band and reception band as passing band is disposed between the first diode and an antenna port. A second diode is connected between the reception port and the ground. A phase shifting function is provided between the first diode and a reception port, having reception band as passing band, so that the impedance as seen from the first diode to the reception port side is almost open in the transmission band when a current flows in the second diode.

Radio frequency switch and wireless communication apparatus using the same

The present invention relates to an antenna equipped in a mobile telecommunication apparatus such as a portable telephone. The object of the invention is to enhance the portability and the durability of the mobile telecommunication apparatus, to provide a mobile telecommunication antenna while is improved in the mass productivity and the electrical characteristics, and to provide a mobile telecommunication apparatus employing the antenna. To achieve the object of the present invention, the mobile communication apparatus has no projecting portion of the antenna provided on a case, and the antenna is accommodated in the case. This enhances both the portability and the durability. Also, the antenna is reduced to a chip size thus improving its mass-productivity and electrical characteristics.
