A toner for electrostatic image developing is disclosed. It is prepared by giving a mechanical impact force to radically polymerized particles containing a colorant and a low molecular weight polyolefine so as to have the low molecular weight polyolefine exist at a ratio of 5 to 40% by number on a surface of the particles. The toner has a uniform and good electrification property, high fixability and no offsetting property.

Method of developing electrostatic latent images

An image forming method wherein a latent image is formed by subjecting an image retainer having a photoconductive layer to a image exposure, a toner image is formed by developing the latent image with a toner, each the step of forming the latent image and the step of forming the toner image are repeated at least one time, and a plurality of toner images formed on the image retainer to a transfer material. At least one of the toner images is formed with a toner which has a spectral transmissivity as to substantially absorb a visible light but transmit a light having a wavelength of 750 nm or more. The latent image is formed by subjecting the image retainer bearing the toner image to an image exposure with a light containing a wavelength component of 750 nm or more.

Image forming method

Disclosed are a toner for development of electrostatic image, comprising as the main component a resin obtained by allowing a polymer containing a polymer component with low molecular weight and a polymer component with high molecular weight, at least the polymer component with low molecular weight containing a carboxylic acid component, to react with a polyvalent metal compound, and a method of fixing a toner image employing the toner described above. According to the present invention, there can be provided a toner for development of electrostatic image which has more improved fixability without lowering the anti-off-set property already improved, and also which can be prepared with good reproducibility without causing gelation to occur although the metal compound may be formulated therein, and can be improved in fixability without making charging characteristics unstable and at the same time without bringing about lowering in anti-off-set property, and thus an excellent toner image can be fixed.

Toner for development of electrostatic image and method of fixing

There are disclosed a toner for development of an electrostatic image which comprises containing (a) a mixture of a lower molecular weight polymer component and a higher molecular weight polymer component, and said lower molecular polymer component is a resin obtained by reacting a polymer containing a carboxylic acid component with a polyvalent metal compound to form cross-linking through a metal atom and (b) offset preventive agent; and also an electrostatic latent image developer which comprises (A) toner particles mainly comprising a resin obtained by reacting a carboxy group existing in a polymer component with a polyvalent metal compound and (B) resin coated-carrier particles coated with a fluorine-containing resin on a surface of a magnetic particle or inorganic fine particles.

Toner for development of electrostatic image and electrostatic latent

An electrophotographic image forming method is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of developing an electrostatic image formed on an image-forming member with a particulate toner for forming a toner image and transferring said toner image onto a receiving material, in which the image-forming member has a surface-improving layer comprised principally of amorphous silicon, and the toner has a weight average particle size within the range of from 1 .mu.m to 6 .mu.m and contains a constituent having a weight average particle size of not more than 5 .mu.m which accounts for not less than 20% by weight of the whole amount of the toner. An electrophotographic copy bearing a high-resolution and high-quality image can be stably obtained by this method.

This invention relates to a magnetic toner (3b) composed mainly of a magnetic material and a binder resin, in which the difference between the softening point and the softening initiation temperature of said magnetic toner (3b) is made 5.degree. C. or more to provide a magnetic toner (3b) which is suitable for pressing transfer, particularly pressing transfer by use of an intermediate transfer member and capable of giving stable running characteristics without causing off-set phenomenon according to a conventional developing system without use of no special developing system and regardless of the photosensitive member employed as well as good image quality on a plain paper.
