A vehicle charging system includes a sensor, a traveling control processor, a traveling drive unit, a transmitter provided on a vehicle configured to travel on a traveling road, and a power-feeding facility provided on the traveling road. The sensor detects obstacles present around the vehicle. The traveling control processor performs traveling control of the vehicle based on the result of detection by the sensor. The traveling drive unit drives the vehicle to travel and includes: a power receiver receiving electric power from the traveling road; a battery storing the electric power; a motor; and an inverter driving the motor with the electric power. The transmitter sends a power-feeding control signal when the sensor detects an obstacle. The power-feeding facility includes: a receiver receiving the power-feeding control signal; a power feeder performing a power-feeding operation; and a power-feeding control unit controlling the power-feeding operation based on the power-feeding control signal.

Vehicle charging system and vehicle

A control device for a vehicle predicts a collision of the vehicle with an object and then actuates a drive assist device. The control device includes a collision predictor, a drive assist controller, an engine controller, a first power supply system, a second power supply system, a switch, and a switch controller. When a possibility that the vehicle will collide with the object exceeds a threshold, the collision predictor outputs a collision alarm signal. When the collision alarm signal is output during driving of the starter motor, the engine controller stops the starter motor to increase an electric potential of the second power supply system, and the switch controller turns on the switch, based on a difference in electric potential between the first and second power supply systems.

Control device for vehicle

A power supply device for a vehicle includes first and second systems, a switch disposed between the systems, and first and second controllers. The first system includes a first power supply and a first electrical apparatus. The second system includes a second power supply and a second electrical apparatus. The first mode controller executes a low power mode where the switch is turned on to supply electric power from one of the first and second power supplies to the first and second electrical apparatuses. The second mode controller executes a high power mode where the switch is turned off to supply electric power from the first and second power supplies to the first and second electrical apparatuses, respectively. When a discharge electric current of the second power supply exceeds a threshold during the low power mode, the second mode controller switches the power supply mode to the high power mode.

Power supply device for vehicle

A power supply device for a vehicle includes first and second power supply systems, a switch, and first, second, and third mode controllers. The first power supply system includes: a first power supply including a first power storage and a first generator, and an electrical apparatus. The second power supply system includes a second power supply. When an SOC of the first power storage exceeds a lower limit, the first mode controller supplies electric power from the first power supply to the electrical apparatus. When the SOC decreases below the lower limit, the second mode controller supplies electric power from the second power supply to the electrical apparatus via the switch. When an abnormality is detected to have occurred in the switch during the second power supply mode, the third mode controller supplies the electric power from the first power supply to the electrical apparatus.

An electrical unit includes a casing, a cooling channel, a second inverter, and a heat transfer member. The casing contains a battery. The cooling channel is formed in the casing and adjacent to the battery or a first inverter. A cooling medium flows in the cooling channel. The second inverter is disposed in the casing apart from the cooling channel. The heat transfer member extends from the cooling channel or an outer wall of the cooling channel to the second inverter.
